If you prefer reading all messages in the board in the order they were posted, we now have a feature we know you'll like. Now you can start at a specific point in time and read each message posted in either chronological or reverse chronological order.

Look for arrows adjacent to the time and date for each message. Click the arrows to navigate the messages in the board across topics. The right arrow takes you directly to a newer message; the left arrow goes to an older message.

As the feedback keeps coming, we'll continue to share changes with you. Today you will find a few changes that we hope make your experience easier and more efficient.
Saved Views
You no longer need to specifically change your settings to set your default views. From now on when you are reading a topic and click the links to change the display to Simple, Summary, Expanded, Threaded, or Msg List, your selection is saved and the next time you view a topic, that view will be the default. The Message Boards Settings no longer include a View Settings section.
Saved Minimum Ratings
Minimum ratings for the list of topics and the messages within a topic are now saved separately. For example, when viewing the list of topics you can select a minimum rating of “1 star + unrated," but when you open a topic you can have a default of “3 stars + or higher." Each time you change your minimum rating, your selection is saved and you will continue to use that minimum rating until you change it. The Message Boards Settings no longer include a Ratings Settings section.
Anchors in Expanded View
If you click a message in the List as Individual Messages page, you will now go directly to that message even if Expanded view is your default.
Topics and Message Navigation
If you sort topics or messages by Time, you will now find navigation links for Oldest, Older, Newer, and Newest. The terms Previous and Next are used only for navigation of messages in threaded view or to browse through lists sorted by Replies or Ratings. We hope this will address some of the confusion regarding the use of Previous and Next introduced when we changed formats.
Ignore Filter
Now when you click Ignore User next to a message, your Ignore Filter will be turned on automatically. You can still turn your Ignore Filter off using Message Boards Settings.
What's next?
In the coming weeks we will introduce the ability to navigate messages across topics based on the time posted. We'll let you know when this feature is available.

We know that finding what’s new is important on the stock boards, so we wanted to quickly put you ‘in the know” on the best ways to access the most recent messages using Yahoo! Finance Message Boards.
Browse via message list…
To see a flat list of messages ordered by time post with the most recent first, click the List as Individual Messages link at the top of each board. Want more information? Click the Summary view for a preview of each message and the author's Sentiment on that stock.
Read in context…
In the new Finance Message Boards, messages are grouped into topics. A topic consists of an initial post and all its replies. It is easy to view the most recent messages posted in the board while reading them in the context of the discussion they were posted in.
The Topics page (e.g., http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/mb/YHOO) lists the first messages posted to each topic in the board. You can sort topics by Replies, Rating or Latest Post. The default is Latest Post, which means the first topic in the list contains the most recently posted message, which can be the first message in the topic or a reply to the topic. This makes it easy to see which discussions are active at any time.Once you enter the topic, there are various ways to view the messages. If you are more interested in seeing only the most recent messages in the topic, change your view to Msg List, which displays all messages in the topic in reverse chronological order.
Click the Next Topic link at the top and bottom of the page to go to the topic with the next most recent message, and so on.
There are two ways to change your view to Msg List:
Thank you to everyone who has sent feedback through our survey. Keep it coming!
Thank you all once again for providing your feedback on the features you’d like to see in the new Finance Message Boards. We hope you have found the individual messages page we introduced earlier this week to be a valuable addition. Our team is excited to announce a new improvement that we believe will make your message boards experience even more useful and efficient.
We have added a new Summary view to the individual messages page. Summary view displays both the stock Sentiment associated with the message and a short summary of the message itself, allowing you to preview the messages in the list and read only those that interest you. You can choose between the Simple and Summary view of the individual messages page using the links just above the list of messages.
