Reverend Canon Lee Graham, Rector Emeritus of Saint John's Episcopal Church of Tallahassee wanted to find someone to speak about Hinduism for his class of about 30 people. They have been meeting once a week on Wednesday evenings to discuss about religions of the world.
Father Graham went to the public library to check out books. While there through an acquaintance of mine at the library found my name and phone number and contacted me about two weeks ago. I met with him over lunch and got a copy of the questions from him and his group.
Then I spent about a week thinking and searching for appropriate answers both from my own experience as a practicing Hindu and reading of books and manuscripts about Hinduism. I prepared the answers as best I could and went to their group and spoke to them.
The audience was very attentive and were very happy to hear about Hinduism. Following my prepared
answers for their questions there was impromptu question and answers. I felt that we had opened up a channel through which Hindus and the people who had gathered can work together for a better understanding of each other.
