Human has always been interested in understanding of the meaning of time. We usually complain about the short length of the life, or how fast time goes!!!, but what is the time? (and what time is it at this moment?Image i.e. what is the reference  point of time? or what should it be?).

Of course the concepts of time and space are not clear, and what physics usually say is just about the measurements!!!, but should we expect more?  Measuring a parameter is all the things we NEED to know about that parameter . Isn't it right? I really don't knowImage

Shoud we still look for those concepts in philosophy? But what philosophy says about those are too abstract and also too ambiguous!!!

Let's look at the both sides (physics & philosophy):

BBC - Science & Nature - Space - Time Travel

Measuring Systems

Universal Time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (Nowadays, UT in relation to International Atomic Time (TAI) is determined by Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) observations of distant quasars, a method which has an accuracy of micro-seconds).

Philosophy of space and time - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy: Time Travel and Modern Physics

Johannes Brahms  is one of my most favourite composers. His works, for me, are the combination of the beauty and simplicity of the nature and rural life,  and the complexity of the life concept, and what make the meaning of the life complicated are time and space concepts (or time- space concept, since these two are not separable)!!!

Listen Symphony no.4 (Op.98)

.......

Ok., I think after thinking about those challenging issues, we may need a  kind of rest. What do you think about a trip? It makes our brain refreshed  ;)

Let's go to Oslo this time, since it is not far from Gothenburg:

Happy New (Persian) Year;

Although it is too early to talk about the coming of the spring, here in Gothenburg, there are some indicators of that, and of course the most important one is the equality of the day and night lengths at the Vernal Equinox.

Hope lots of joys and successes in the new year for all of you around the worldImage

Here, you can have my small but valuable gift, as the last yearsImage

Friday was my first working day at Onsala Space  Observatory. Sitting close to the scientists is really interesting. I probably go there more, since I expect to finish my project soon.

I will try to take some photos in the Observatory and put them in my Yahoo! Photo Album, but since it is not easy to upload more than one photo in each blog post, I may go back to my former blog.

Everytime I listen to some of J.S. Bach's works, I immediately think of Sir Isaac Newton when he was in a deep thought!
