NikkiD, That's exactly how Glastonbury did it last time, with a guarantee of buying back any tickets you couldn't use so they could sell them on to people on the waiting list. Seemed to work well so I hope they extend the scheme.

That's just wrong. The sad thing is, there will be fans desperate enough that they will pay the touts price. If they buy two tickets and sell the first one at over the twice the original price, then they won't care if they don't sell the second one or not (they've already made a profit). So it just means they'll keep doing it. The only way they'll ever stop is if they can't move the tickets.

I think the only way you could ever prevent this is to have names printed on the tickets and have to show ID at the door to prove you are the person who bought the ticket, and really, the agents don't care who sees the show, only that the tickets got sold.

It's happened to me, the MUST SEE concert & the bad luck of it to being sold out ughhhhh!! I can't stand the exploitative & greedy people that ask for way more money just because it was sold out in the box office...*Smile*.
