<description><![CDATA[<p><font size="2">With only four days left in 2007 I wanted to take the opportunity thank all of you for your hard work, dedication, and help to make 2007 another great year for Yahoo! Groups! <br /><br />2007 marked a major shift for Yahoo! Groups; we embraced the colossal potential that lies within all of the wonderful communities you have built. The priority of Groups has significantly increased within the company and we have turned our focus to reinforcing the infrastructure (or backend) that the Groups product is built on. Groups blog will no longer live on Yahoo! 360° and will move to WordPress. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10pt; font-family:Arial; ">We’ll still deliver the latest and greatest Groups news; this move should not have a negative impact. In fact, we hope that this move will enhance your experience in the following ways: </span></p> <ul> <li> <div><span style="font-size:10pt; font-family:Arial; ">Greater ease to post comments (as it eliminates the need to sign in with a Yahoo! <title><![CDATA[Intermittent Site Issues]]></title>

If you are still experiencing difficulty with your groups, please let us know by commenting below. Thank you for your patience. </span></p> <p><span style="font-size:10pt; color:#c00000; font-family:Arial; ">Our engineers have identified the root cause for this issue, and we will be conducting hardware maintenance from 4:00 PM PST to 5:00 PM PST today, 12/3, to resolve it. During this time, some groups will be unavailable for viewing, but no messages will be lost and users will continue to be able to post via email.</span></font><font color="#000000"><span style="font-size:10pt; font-family:Arial; "> </span><br /><br /><br />We are aware that the Yahoo! Groups site was intermittently unavailable for a few hours on Saturday morning and again for approximately one hour this morning.
