Star Wars Humor

Some great star wars humor the guys at work have passed around over the past few weeks:

A New Sith, or Revenge of the Hope: Reconsidering Star Wars IV in the light of I-III

The Case for the Empire:

"The Force, it turns out, is an inherited, genetic trait. If you don't have the blood, you don't get the Force. Which makes the Jedi not a democratic militia, but a royalist Swiss guard..."

And, for those of you that don't want to read to find the humor, you may enjoy:

It was a few blocks from my house, on the other side of the large park, near the shopping center. Flickr has some great photos of it.

Evan had this link on his blog. I have to agree with him - I admire her clear respect for indexing.

Ok, so my blog is nothing more than a collection of things I found humerous; but hey, it's my blog. Most of it is for my family back East, who don't spend their entire days in front of the computer. (Well, some of them don't.)

I was ripped out of bed early this morning due to the impact an earthquake had on the internet. Yahoo! China is unable to contact Yahoo! US; and this is causing problems for Yahoo! China users. They contacted me because they wanted to make a copy of the content I store in the US for their use in China, which would alleviate some of their problems. Not a bad idea, but when I asked "How should we get the data to you?", nobody had a good idea.

They didn't like my idea of copying it to a disk and FedEx'ing it to China. I bet Y! would pay the overnight cost.

Greatest Gift, Ever!

This year, in addition to clothing, books (including an interesting discussion of the history of many nursury rhymes), and our growing collection of Looney Tunes DVDs, Xander received one gift that was completely unexpected. His great-uncle Jim did some internet searching and came up with what could be the funniest gift we've ever received: a toddler urinal.

Carol and I couldn't stop laughing when we opened it. Who would have thought they'd open an Amazon box, and pull out a working urinal?

Thinking about teaching Xander to use a urinal reminded me of this story I saw the other day.

More photos of Xander can be found on Carol's Flickr photostream.
