New Info About My Freebie Section On My Website

For those interested, I'll be doing some updates very soon on the freebie section of my website
http://artisticdelights.org

I've got plans for some new brushes, new backgrounds and a few more texture/stock photos. I'm also working on a scrapbook section of freebies in case anyones interested in that. I would love to hear any feedback or comments on these things, or if you have any suggestions, or a wishlist of ideas.
You just have to forgive my slowness at getting these things done, as I've explained my personel life regarding my family as well as some health issues keep me from being as on top of things as I would like.
I also want to thank everyone who visits my blog, my flickr photos and my website, and I hope you continue to visit. I don't do this only for myself, it's all of you who visit that really inspire me, so I want to make it a place to share things that my viewers would like to see as well as my own artistic visions.

It was a beautiful day today, but I had to clean the kitchen and almost missed it. Oh I did peek out at it every so often as I was cleaning off the counters and doing dishes. I even stepped out into it long enough to put some garbage into the garbage can. Why is it when the weather is nice I've always got something that needs doing that isn't fun.
Actually I did manage to sneak off to the beach for a hour or so and get my walk in along with some photos. My youngest son came with me (in case I needed help getting back to my car) lol
Bob and Jimmy (the yougest son) spent most of the morning/day cutting up wood with a chainsaw and packing it into the back of the truck just to drive it up the driveway and unload it into our backyard. There was an empty lot across from us that the owers decided to have cleared to make a park like setting on it, so of course Bob wanted some of the wood they took out. He's got a lot of it and now has to paint the ends and stack it until it's dry enough to work on. (Bob doest wood turnings with a wood lathe) Jimmy got to have fun cutting the top out of a barrel for us to use as a new burn barrel, I think most of the time he was trying to learn how to play the drums from the sound of all the banging, but in the end he did get the lid off and only a number of cuts and scratches in the process. He then got to reap his rewards by filling the new burn barrel with lot's of stuff to set on fire. He's going to be a firefighter I think someday, or at least I'm hoping it goes in that direction and he isn't the one's that the fire department are looking to lock up.
The picture above shows how not to use a hammer. Jimmy was not suppost to hit his arm, but after a few times he learned that it hurts

The funeral yesterday was hard, but we all said our last goodbyes and made it though the day. A lot of family and friends were there to say goodbye and the service was very nice. It rained most of the day, I think that seems to always be the case for funerals, or at least it seems so.
Today there's been a bit of a break in the rain and I was able to get in a little walk. I decided to take it at the Docks in Charleston this morning and ran into some "Big" lazy Sea lions lounging on the docks. Made for some great photos and I sure enjoyed being up and close with them (not so close as to get charged lol) I will be posting more of the photos later today on my website and will include a link from my blog to them. I guess that's about all for now, my hands will only let me type so much before they give out on me.

Well it's cold, windy and wet stuff keeps falling out of the sky everytime I start to do something... Oregon Weather got to love it! Not much going on, being lazy and doing as little as possible today. I did spend an hour or so on my walk this morning, took in the nice views of Sunset Beaches campground and took a few photos while I was there. It's a beautiful campground and even though it's only about 2 miles from my house I would love to spend a few days there this summer in one of their Yurts. Maybe once the kids are out I'll just become a camp host and live there year round. The boyfriend has nixed that idea, said he couldn't have his wood tools and shop and wasn't about to sit in a rocking chair the rest of his days. I told him he could take up whittling and the harmonica, but all I got was a dirty look and a hand gesture, gee I was just trying to help lol
I've set my sites on a camera I would love to own, so I'm taking donations of a penny a person, maybe in a few years I'll be able to own it. For now though I'm very happy with the one I have and it does take some very nice photos.
Well one of my dogs in nudging me so I'm either in need of letting her out or she wants to have some time on the computer herself. (I knew it was a bad idea teaching her to type)
