somewhere in Seattle....

so i buy 6 rigs at the auction today, get back to the airport early and get on an earlier flight to come home, get a good seat and a quiet row partner and get back to PDX at 2 pm, start walking through the airport, put my hands in my pockets and realize i have no keys. ut oh! a quick check of my travel bag turns up nothing. i hustle back to the gate and slip thru to the plane where the pilot is deplaning but i explain a lost item and he says go ahead, no keys under or around my seat either. i know where they are, they're in the bottom of the airport tray where they have these ugly 3D mats with weird graphics on them....i talk to the TSA people in portland and they check their lost and found just in case, no keys, they don't have the Seattle TSA number so i have to call the nat'l # to find Seattle's #. no keys turned in yet up there, ughhhh, but wait, Greg has an extra key at his desk, he excitedly calls the store and they find his key and send someone out to the airport with it, i get my key and start heading to the parking lot when i realized....i use one of those locking clubs on my steering wheel when i park at the airport, i hurriedly call the driver that brought my key out to just get a ride home where i think i have another club key but their ringer is off and don't answer, meanwhile it's 100 freaking degrees out and i'm sweaty and pissed, so i talk to the parking people who are unable to help with locks but will give me the number to pop-a-lock, apparently this happens a lot, lost keys while traveling or vacationing. so i call pop a lock and they tell me a locksmith will call me right away. 45 minutes later i call them back and ask what happened and they said he hasn't called? NO HE HASN'T! we'll call him him again and have him call you within 5 minutes, i say let's double check the number you gave him, yep they wrote down the last number wrong....after another half hour the guy showed up, i had been circling back thru the terminal to use the restroom and get cool and was attracting some funny looks from security people as i'd stand in one place and just look out...lol. finally the guy shows and 1/2 hour later i'm free to go.....almost... when i got to the booth to give 'em my parking stub which i had paid for 2 hours before when i had my truck key and before i realized i was missing the club key, anyway, the rate in the garage is 3 dollars an hour and 24 for all day which i had paid an all day charge, so i get to the window and tell the guy i couldn't get here within 20 minutes of paying for my parking because of the pop a lock truck that had gone thru the lane right in front of me, then this refugee from india or pakistan says he's gonna charge me another 6 bucks for an extra 2 hours... i say WTF are you talking about, i've already paid for an all F'NG day rate! some gal stood up in the office behind him and said i was right and they'll open the gate, so as i drove through, this refugee is writing down my license plate number! i should've fkn hit him as i left....

soooooo, i originally arrived back in Portland at 2, but now i'm leaving the airport at 5, great, just in time to turn a 1/2 hour drive into a bumper to bumper hour!!!

and somewhere in Seattle a nice set of keys with an Albertson's and a Petco card on the ring waits patiently for it's master to return and claim them...

soooo...i hope you had a better day than i did! muah!
