What can I say I am sorry two episodes down and I don't have my game face on. I would blame the Patriots if I could, but I can't. I am actually still chewing on the cud from the last episodes and trying to see where things are going.

So what do we know? We know that Hurly makes it off the island. The invention of the flash forward from the last episode of last season in carried into this season, and rumor has it it is here to stay. We find out that Hurly (and from last season we know Kate and Jack) are part of what Hurly refers to as the Oceanic 6. We can only assume at this point that only six make it home... but does that not kind of make whatever comes between kind of anti climactic? We do know that both Jack from last Season and Hurly from Episode 1 really want to get back to the island. Hurly is back in the nut house after seeing Charlie. The poor guy.

In Episode 1 and two there is a new creepy character and the not so fantastic 4 team of crackpot specialits who in typical Lost fashion have clever names... Like Daniele Farady the quivering mass that he is whose name comes from the Michael Faraday the electromagnetism physasist known for his work leading to the Fraday Cage... does anyone recall something about Magnatism from season 2?

We also get out first glimpse of Dhamra off the island. In Tunisia Charlotte Lewis another one of the "Freighter Four" find a polar bear with a Dhamra logo (Hydra) on it. Not only was it off the island, but the climate was a little hot for a polar bear. From the newspaper that was in this scene we place this event after the crash, and before the "mission". The mission we find out to get Benjamin Linus. I am betting its the IRS and black dude with the creeps is here to collect.

Locke and Ben have some competition this Season from Mathew Abaddon who is either the Oceanic Lawyer from hell or a member of the "Other Others" that are even bad asser than the Others that we thought were bad ass. You know you are a piece of work when Ben says your trouble. Needless to say he is seen questioning Hurly in Ep. 1 but Hurly did a good job figuring him out. In Ep. 2 we see him working with Naomi planning the island assault where we see he is the mastermind behind the decision to pick them.

Sawyer is back with the nicknames. He calls Locke, Coronel Kurtz... from Aplocolyse Now the bald Brando character that leads a group of followers, and goes insane. He also calls Ben "Yoda"

It keeps getting closer and closer, and they keep moving it up to meet us as we few fans wait with baited breath for the new Season. 45 days and counting-down... on January 31 ABC will air its Season 4 Episode 1 for an all new Season of mind twisted confusion that will probably widdle off another 20% of the fan base. I am committed to the fact that good things come to those who wait, and I will either be elated at what I get from the time spent, or I will disspointed left with a hole in my soul that will never be filled... oh come on its television for the love of El Hombre Enmascardo!

So here is some things to start thinking about.

If you watched last season these are not spoilers, if you didn't, tune to another Blog until I you have seen Season 3. It's out on DVD so go and buy it. If you have not seen 1 and 2... your WAY the F behind and you might as well not get yourself entangled in the web, or you could be sorely disapointed and become one of the drifters who decided that it jumped the sharp toothed massive fish known as Selachimorpha (In case you didn't know that is a Shark).

So at the end of Season 3 we see Charlie sacrifice himself and we can only assume he is dead. We see him pray to the father, the son, and the holy ghost (Spectacles, Tesicles, Wallet, and Watch). Then he twitches, and Desonde weeps a little as his mission to save him has come to a sad end. Although Charlies greatest hits that were in Desmondes pocket are now wet, and probably illegible so Claire might never know that The #1 greatest thing in Charlie's life was meeting her. Hopefully they will find his DS ring in the crib so Aaron will have a little piece of the only Daddy he ever knew.

What about Jack's little Oxy habit he picked up when we went home and decided that we would make it his mission to either put Oceanic out of bussiness by taking free rides and alchohol, crash back on the island or die trying? There is still mutters about what the hell that was all about. But in typical Lost fashion why would they kiss and tell? There has to be something that will make us some back. I hope they are able to weave that episode back into Season 4 at some point, so people don't continue to believe that there is no reason to watch the next 3 seasons since we know that Jack becomes an lunatic addict and Kate decides to make up for her time on the island by wearing 5 times more makueup than she needs. We want to know who's funeral it was, and who is "He" that she lives with. Twice in the flash forward Jack speaks of his father as if being alive. We know from what Desmonde is experiencing that the future can be altered, so will it... or will this be the fate of Jack Shepard.

We know that Ben said he was born on the island, and then was caught in his lie... but Richard he was around and pretty much the same age as he is now when Ben was a small boy. What is his story? He appears to be an orginal ihabitant of the island. Why is he Bens little bitch?

What or who is Jacob, and why does he have a ring of salt or ash or whatever it was around his house (or prison). Can he project beyond the cabin? Is that him when we see horses, and fathers, and Walt? Why is Ben so mad that Locke can hear him? You can't tell me 18 or more years of being blamed for killing your mother by your own father could mess a guy up that much that he became such a turd.

And the biggest question, is will they really go home? We know Locke will stay, we know that Rose and Benard will stay, after all she has Cancer so why would she want to go back? All we know is that Desmonde said that Claire and Aaron would get on a Helicopter. Maybe they take Claire and Aaron because they too are doing some child related study and they will just take those two and leave the other Losties on the island or try to kill them.

Maybe the Jack-forward we saw is not related to this rescue at all, if it even is real. What we do know is that the Communications block has been turned off the electronics room flooded, however Lock blew up the Satelite dish at The Flame and the Submarine (although I am not conviced he actually blew it up, I think he submurged it swam out and blew up a whole lot of nothing.)

This and so many other questions loom amongst the remaining fans, like looking down into the Dhamra death pit I see all the past fans that fell, never to return. Perhaps it was a sacrifce the Island demanded?

What kind of inconsiderate jerk to you think I am. This isn't LOST, I am not going to tell everyone what they can find out themselves by enjoying the book. I do have to say this if you have not done so yet, and have not downloaded the leak and read the last page of the epilogue go out and buy the book. Its a good read and a good series finally.

First I have to give props to Carlton Cuse & Damon Lindelof who wrote this episode and clearly know how to write to meet the expectations of the early LOST fans. I think that anyone that has been complaining about the show can safely say that this one was in the old spirit of LOST. And its no wonder that is the case, heck they are part of what made LOST, so well losty. I hope fans old and new could enjoy the pace and chaos that this episode put us though.

I am not going to write a blow by blow this week, I will just say that pretty much what I said in my What's on Deck was true and the questions I raised were answered... which is always a bonus. Sayid's flashback was interesting I am still trying to find the hole it fits in my LOST Jigsaw puzzle in my mind. Basically we see him working in Paris as a cook, another Iraqi man dining asks
him if he will come work for HIS restaurant and when Sayid shows up he ties him up and tortures him for torturing his wife. He denies it until one night she comes to him and tells him a story of her cat. He admits that he was the one, and she then says she will tell her husband she was wrong and let him go... when he asks why she basically says because I am better than you, I will not become what you are to cure my constant fears. (Two wrongs don't make a right).

On the beach as we already knew Sawyer wants his stuff back, asks for a ping-pong match and is told if he loses no more nicknames. I should be noted that leading up to this game, Sawyer has a world class run of nicknames every time he spoke he had a new one... Avalanche, Grimace (Hurley), Zorro (Paulo), Crouching Tiger and Hidden Dragon (Jin and Sun)... all in like 5 minutes of the show. Needless to say he was whooped by Hurley who schooled him, and even gave him the mercy rule. Hurley isn't a jerky winner though, he even gives stuff back to Sawyer (Porno) and tries to set him at ease about Kate. Sawyer his a complete jerk to him though. surprise surprise.

Sayid, Kate, Locke, and Rousseau after walking for two days, and Sayid's patience with Locke's crazy plan to follow the sticks bearing North 3:05, they find a little farm with patchy running teh show, apparently alone. He explains he is the last member of Dharma and that everyone else was killed when they tried to battle the hostiles. Sayid the intuitive person he is know he is lying and knows that there is someone else there... one of the horses in the yard was saddled and the stirrups were set much too high for him. So basically they play cat and mouse until they all know that its time to admit they know whats going on until they roll around the (Flame) station and eventually overtake Mikhail and tie him up.

This week on LOST we are going to get to see Patchy from the Perl station in the Eko Demise episode "Cost of Living." Remember Sayid did his elctronic mumbo jumbo and we see another Hatch like computer room, and then Patchy looks at the camera and grabs it killing the feed. Well this week Locke and Friends are going to go on a walk-a-bout and find of all things a little hut in the woods with Horses. (Kate's horse explained?).

We also know that Sawyer is going to play ping pong for his stuff back. In the sneak peak on the abc website we again this week get a excellent scene handed to us before it airs. We see Swayer bring a ping pong ball to the table. Everyone is excited but before he will give it to them he wants to play for his stuff. Of course Paulo and Nikki are there, and to make satisfy all of us who are baffled by their introduction in S03 Sawyer says "... and who the hell are you?" What it comes down to is if Sawyer wins he gets his stuff back... if he looses he can't use nicknames for a week, heh. Thats funny.

This episode will be a Sayid flashback. I am at a loss as to where this flashback will be, pre or post war. Will be see his with his love Nadia? Will we see more interaction with Inman? Who knows, there is an open book for him. We know very little and most of what we know of him paints him to be a animal that was forced to do so out of necessity. Not knowing where they will go with this backflash is kind of exciting.

And there is also the computer, which is being used for a chess game. There is another Wickmund/Candle video I wonder what his name will be this time. And of course they hear for Manual Overide and Mainline Communicastion enter 38 (But the episode is enter 77... huh?)... They make it sound like Locke really going to hose things up... like he hasn't done that too many times before.

I predict another good episode. ;) Then again I am easy to please.

After all the hype, all the island stories. The Others consuming us for the last dozen episodes, and Jack, Kate, and Sawyer stealing the spotlight it was refreshing like an ice cold Black Raspberry Fresca (if you haven’t had one go buy one!). This episode was predictable one one level but on another it really pulls your heart strings.

It starts off with Hurley and scrawny kid working on a rusty Camero on blocks when his Dad David (Cheech Marin) comes down and Hurley wants to know if they are going to replace the carburetor which is what the car needs next to start. His father says not today, and they get in the car and has him try to start it anyway, and says life is what we make if it and sometimes we just need to believe in something to make it happen. The car of course does not start and then David Reyes tells his son that he is leaving and that he will be back, but in a way that you know he won't and he rides off on his motorcycle. The last thing you see is Hurley biting into the first candy bar that is to be his road to obesity.

This episode is full of swallow that lump moments. We see Hurley talking to Libby. You don't know its Libby at first... I mean you can guess pretty easy but all you know is that Hurley is pouring his heart out to someone. Telling someone what has been going on, and how scared he has been. Except of course when he was with her. Awwwww.

Hurley back flash fast forwards to after he won the money. Tricia Tanaka is a reporter. We very quickly find out that Hurley has already down on his luck, and instead of being a rich happy go lucky lottery winner he is a stick in the mud. What comes next we already knew, but not that Tricia was involved. When she enters the Mr. Clucks that Hurley bought about to reopen the next day a meteor careens down and blows the building up with Tricia Tanaka inside and the title of the show is revealed.

Charlie is moping about the island, and Hurley wants to know what is wrong with him. Charlie tells him what he found out when they got Desmond drunk. Hurley thinks he is the reason that Charlie is going to die, because he is cursed and surrounded by death. Just then Vincent shows yup with the cliché mummified arm with key chain attached. Charlie wants nothing to do with it, but Hurley the superstitious person that he is chases Vincent who is classic Lassie fashion brings him to the car (VW Bus with the rest of the arm inside it)... he is wearing a jumpsuit from the Swan Hatch with a name tag that says Roger -Work Man

So on the island Kate and Sawyer make there way back, and just before they get there Sawyer steps on a dart (from the hatch but they don't know that). Kate tells him they could start over if he just apologizes and he says they have nothing to apologize about. Sawyer reveals he had mono and stayed in his trailer for two months and only had one channel to watch on TV. He refers to "Little House on the Prairie" and simply "Little House." which makes Kate mock him. They get back to the beach and everyone is happy to see them. Yay warm fuzzy number one.

Hurley all dusty from the explosion and emotionally crushed yet again, goes home. Just when he thought he could not get any lower he whines to his mother about the curse, and she slaps him. Then she tells him there is no curse and she is going to prove it. In walks his dad. His dad comes back after 17 years

and you can tell Hurley wants nothing to do it it. You could see that sad little boy watching his dad drive away is his AMAH *Y and A Missing" (Look up AMAH on Wiki its kind of neat).

Charlie back on the island interrogates Desi. Desmond cant tell Charlie when he'll die and says it "doesn't work that way." Just then Sawyer storms in and wants to know where his stuff is. They apologizes for drinking his booze, incriminate Hurley, and then goes to find Hurley. He walks up to them, calls Hurley Snuffy (heh I liked that line) and Jin... Jin-bo, and "hooked on phonics". They all hug and have a moment, Sawyer was mad and wasn't in the mood to help them until Hurley told him there was beer. Mmmmm Dharma issue beer.

The Hurley story continues with him mad his dad is back, he knows/thinks he wants money. But his mom wants to gets "some" and says it has been 17 years. Just when you think that Hurley does not care on iota about his father, his mother tell him to show his father the garage. In it is the Car from when dad left in garage (Camero). Still not fixed. Still on Blocks. Just as it was then.

Jin says the Bus can’t be fixed, Jin and Sawyer give up and have a few skunked warm ones, Hurley is angry. He wants it to work so bad so they can all have hope. And Sawyer says in his pessimistic self "if its hope your looking for esse your on the wrong damn island, there sure is hell no hope here."

Hurley wants this so bad he goes and gets Charlie. He has this great idea, and Charlie is just the person. He find Charlie having a pitty party on the beach. When Charlie starts to whine he slapped Charlie like his mother slapped him when he was deep in the funk. He thinks since Charlie is going to die, and that he is cursed if they get this to work they can beat that demon. He says "if you don't die then we win", and "Things have sucked, and I need this." and most importantly what is Dad taught him "Make our own luck."

Hurley comes back, and Sawyer, aka Captain Quick whit immediately has new names for the two "Jumbotron," and he calls Charlie " Jiminy Cricket." To which Hurley retorts... "Shut up... R..ed... Ne...eck Man!." Sawyer is clearly impressed, although this was more for the Sawyer Nickname Fans than anything. Nicknames are a huge part of this show, especially Sawyer and trying to figure out what made him say the names he did whether it be the situation they are in or a cultural reference. At any rate Hurley explains the the clutch pop idea shows them the hill... we all know you don't need a hill that steep he could have done it WAY sooner but where is the climax in that?

Hurley in his backlash is still going to Australia. But we know this don't we after all he wouldn't be on the island would he? He wants dad to leave still, now more than ever. His dad admits he is there for the "retirement." We get the line again... "Need a little hope, We make out own luck". His dad wants him to give away the money except enough to fix the Camero and go on that trip tp the Grand Canyon. Because "It’s never to late for a fresh start". When Hurley leaves his father says he will be there when he gets back.

So Sawyer and Jin think he is crazy, somehow he has inspired Charlie to go, "victory or death". Hurley and Charlie plummet down the hill, Hurley determined to do or die and Charlie all of a sudden realizes that this is the craziest thing he has ever done, screaming for dear life. Hurley closes his eyes and says “ there is no curse make your own luck” and JUST as they are about to crash he pops the clutch and the engine starts up… and they all go for a ride including Vincent. Then go back to camp and Jin makes up with Sun and they talk about the car, Charlie all excited tells Claire all about it. Sawyer looks lonely without Kate, and Hurley drives around after finally beating his demon.

Kate in the woods hears something its Sayid and Locke. They followed her and they want her to know they want to help. Don’t know where to look and not motivated. risk more lives... Locke says wrong...not about the motivation but about where to look. They get shot at Rousseau shows up, and Kate asks for help. Kate tells her that the girl who helped her escape was about 16 and her name was Alex.

Good episode, not allot of reveals… but it was nice and emotional.
