I work with abused women (and I was one) so understand women that are abused and stay in abusive relationships.  I also know that they can be free!

If I had to think of one thing that all women have in common, I think I'd say that we all have a deep, deep desire to be loved and cherished by a man.

Sadly, for many, life has left us feeling anything but loved, much less cherished.  Some have been victims of every kind of abuse imaginable from the very beginning which was no fault of our own.  Others don't really know where it all went wrong, but clearly it went wrong somewhere.

Many have decided that there's nothing loveable or desirable about themselves, therefore they have given up the idea of ever being loved.  Others keep "shooting in the dark", hoping they'll eventually find the love that's missing in their lives.

I don't know where you are in your relationships, but I know that you have a deep desire to be loved and cherished.  That's why I want you to know that you are loved!  You are cherished!  And you are of GREAT value!

You are of such value that one man saw you as a treasure and He said with great joy, "I want that treasure to be mine."  So He gave away the best, most valuable thing He had so that you could be His.

Who is this man?  This man is God.  He gave His only Son Jesus, the very best thing He had, so that you could be His.  He loves you and He cherishes you.  There is no love greater than His love for you!

This is a Man who will never hurt you, never lie to you, never cheat on you, never beat you, never use you, never abuse you .... just cherish you!  Don't you want to experience the love of God in your life?  Unconditionally?  Don't just let Him be your Savior ... make Him Lord!  He will fill the emptiness and longings for love that you have.  But it's up to you to invite Him in.  As badly as He wants to be a part of your life, He'll never  barge in.  This Man is a TRUE GENTLEMAN!  He will wait to be invited.  Won't you invite Him into your heart right now?  Pray this prayer:

"Dear God, Thank you that I'm worth something in Your eyes.  Thank you that you sent Jesus to die on a cross so that I could be saved from my sin and saved from hell.  I invite you into my heart right now; come in and be the Lord of my life.  Forgive me of my sins and give me a new life in Christ Jesus.  Thank you God for saving me and coming into my life.  In Jesus' name. Amen."

Soul ties are exactly what they sound like. They are ties from one person's soul to (or into) another person's soul.  Two souls can be knit or made to cleave together in a covenant relationship; they can also be tied or knit together to form bondage and enslavement.

God created the human to be made up of three parts: Body, Soul and Spirit.  You cannot focus on any one without taking into account the other two because there is so much overlap between all three. We can relate at any of these three levels.

Let's go through an example of a man relating with a woman.    Let's say that Harry meets Sally, and they work at the same place.  Well, as he casually walks past her and says, "Hi," and as he works alongside her during the day, he is relating to her primarily on a "physical" level (Note: A lot of people say that sex is just  “physical” but that is not what we mean by "physical."  We shouldn’t think of sex that way, but we’ll cover that later.)

After a few months of working with Sally, Harry really starts to like her and wants to get to know her better, so he asks her out on a date. They go out and he finds out more about her.  They go out again.  Then they start sharing more and more about their hopes and dreams and their hurts and disappointments.  Now they are relating at the Soul level, which is typically described as being made up of the mind, will and emotions.  They are actually developing a "soul tie", because they are relating at the Soul level.

Because they are Christians, Harry and Sally start to pray together and seek Jesus together. They are now relating on a spiritual level, because they are inviting the Lord to be a part of their relationship. Through prayer and through praise and worship at the same church, etc., they are communicating spirit to spirit through the Lord.

All three of these types or levels of relationship can occur between two friends, between co-workers and co-church members, between brother and sister, parent and child and husband and wife. The husband and wife relationship, however, is the relationship where all three of these types of "relating" is the most intimate and most intense. Genesis 2:24 says: "For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."  Make no mistake about it, sexual union involves all three parts of your being - body, soul and spirit.

God designed it that way; it is not "just" a physical act - never has been, never will be!   The reason the Lord honors the marriage relationship so much is that it best reflects His love for us - and Christ's love for the church. Please read Ephesians 5:22-32 where Paul is talking about how the marriage relationship explains the 'profound mystery' of Christ's relationship with the church.

Other biblical examples of "soul ties" include: Naomi and Ruth (Mother and Daughter-in-law) and Jonathan and David (Friends). Please read Ruth Chapter 1 and I Samuel 18:1, and I Samuel Chapters 19 and 20.   These are examples of Godly relationships and Godly "soul ties."   

So we have established that there are soul ties (healthy ones and unhealthy ones) and there are soul ties that are created with and without a sexual union.

If it is sex in the confines of marriage (with your spouse, of course) it is a healthy soul tie that is being created and strengthened; however, any (and I do mean ANY) sexual union (physical, fantasy or otherwise) that is NOT with your spouse will ALWAYS create an unhealthy (wrong, sinful, unnatural, not God's will) soul tie. These soul ties are intimate bonds to another human being that were never intended by the Lord.

So many single people want to get married, but they are not ready because they have to get themselves prepared for the bridegroom, and the most important thing is getting rid of the old and allow the new to come forth. If you go into a marriage with your past not put behind and all the ties severed, the enemy will try to bring them back.

Please read I Corinthians 6:12-20 where Paul talks about sexual immorality and why it is a bad thing. One of his points is that if you have sex with a prostitute, you will become "one flesh" (Body, Soul and Spirit) with him or her. You will be joined body, soul and spirit and as a consequence, you have now formed an intimate bond or "soul tie" with that person. Remember, sex is an act of all three parts of your body.

Working with abused women I know that the dominion a soul tie gives a man over his lover is often so binding that he can insult and mistreat her but she seems helplessly enslaved to him. Many women will tolerate all kinds of abuse and they won’t understand why: They end up hating themselves, because they don’t understand about soul ties. Whenever you hate yourself it is hard to give real love or receive real love.

I don’t care how much you love someone or believe that they love you, God does not ordain sex before marriage.  God’s blessing cannot be on that relationship.  

“Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:18-20

I’ve seen so many women devastated when a man leaves them and they don’t know why they can’t forget them or get over them (and vice versa).  They say, “I just can’t let go!”  You have a soul tie!  You have been bonded!  Body, Soul and Spirit - all three are involved.  Sadly, this scene is repeated way too often in our culture today. May the Lord help us to keep us pure! Only by His grace will we avoid this terrible tragedy.  They want to move on and find love, but they can’t let go of the past.

Let me share an illustration with you.  It will show that before we can cleave, (be tied to) someone new, we have to let go of the old first.

When a woman becomes pregnant she carries the baby inside of her for nine months, and during that time her and the baby are one. The umbilical cord is connected from the mother to the baby. The baby receives all the nutrients from the mother. They are one at that time. They have to go everywhere together. Even when the mother experiences stress, anger, bitterness, and other things, the baby will be affected.

Once the baby is born, the mother and the baby are still connected together, because of the umbilical cord.  There is a procedure that has to be done to separate the two. The umbilical cord has to be cut, and when this happens the baby can begin its new life. 

I think that this is a great example of what God is trying to show us about being soul tied.  You have to cut and sever all old ties before you start your new life. You can see the importance in severing the spiritual umbilical cord from those in the past. As long as you are connected in the soul with someone from the past, it is hard to move forward.

There is HOPE and that is Jesus. If you make him the Lord of your life and serve Him with all your heart, you can and will be set free if you believe and receive. You can be set totally free if you allow God to set you free.  God, in His mercy and grace, has made a way for us to be cleansed from all of this unrighteousness and to start over. We need to literally break the unhealthy soul ties that we have made with other people; regardless of whether we have physically had sex with them or if we just imagined it in our mind or looked at pornography while masturbating. We need to proclaim (by the authority of Christ in us), with our mouths - out loud, that we renounce and break, once and for all, the soul tie with that person (playmate or otherwise) and ask Jesus' blood to cleanse us. This will break the soul tie and free you/me from the unhealthy bond with the other person.

I John 1:9 - "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify/cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 

John 8:36 "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed "

You may think this is just "spiritual hocus-pocus", but I assure you that it is not. I have heard and seen stories of men and women who continue to be drawn to and have feelings for the other person even though they don’t’ see each other any long or may even be married to someone else! The unhealthy soul tie continues to attract them to other people.  I have also been there before I sold out totally to God.  I had to break soul ties with people in my past, but, praise God, He freed me!

A Prayer for Breaking Soul Ties:

Let us pray in faith, receiving:

Father, in the name of JESUS, I submit my soul, my desires and my emotions to your Spirit. I confess, as sin, all my promiscuous, premarital sexual relationships and all sexual relationships outside of marriage. I confess all my ungodly spirit, soul, and body ties as sin. I thank you for forgiving me and cleansing me right now!

“Father, I thank you for giving me the keys of your kingdom, the keys of spiritual authority.  Your Word says that what I bind on earth is bound in heaven and what I loose on earth is loosed in heaven. In Jesus name, I ask you to loose me from all soul ties to past partners and ungodly relationships. Please uproot all the tentacles of sexual bondage, of emotional longings and dependencies, and enslaving thoughts. I bind, renounce and resist any evil spirits that have reinforced those soul ties or may have been transferred to me through evil associations.

Abba Father, in Jesus' mighty name, I ask you to shut any doorways of demonic access opened into my life by ungodly soul ties or any other sort of sexual sin, and I ask you to seal those doorways forever with the Blood of the Lamb, shed on the cross of Calvary. I thank you for doing this.

Please cleanse my soul and help me to forget all illicit unions so that I am free to give my soul totally to my mate that You give to me. Father, I receive your forgiveness for all past sex sins. I believe I am totally forgiven. Thank you for remembering my sins no more. Thank you for cleansing me from all unrighteousness. I commit myself to you by your grace; please keep me holy in my spirit, soul, and body. I praise you.  In Jesus’ name. AMEN.

Sin does not occur when the devil tries to tempt you and puts thoughts into your mind.  These are just thoughts.  If you recognize this is from the devil, you can start praying and turn from that temptation or evil thought ... in other words, resist the devil ... he does have to flee from you.  Will he come back again?  Sure he will.  But each time you resist him, the stronger you will become in that area!

If you do have a stronghold in your life that you want to be free of:

1. Repent to the Father.  Be honest with Him.  He knows anyway.  Tell Him that you have this habit that you haven't been able to get free of. 
2. Ask your Heavenly Father to deliver you by the Holy Spirit of this habit.  Tell Him that you WANT to be free!  You don't want to be in bondage to this thing any longer.
3. Then thank Him and believe that it is done, standing on His promises in the Word.

Satan wants to tempt you to get back into drugs, to get back into sexual immorality, to get back into the old habits, but you don't have to give in to that temptation.  Satan wants to destroy you, but your Heavenly Father wants you to have life and to live a victorious life!  He wants you to be a Godly man or woman, a good husband/wife, a loving and caring parent, a "soul winner" ... He wants you to be VICTORIOUS ....an OVERCOMER!  AND HE WANTS YOU TO BE FREE!

To defeat worry and fear, say these confessions daily as many times as you need to say them:

"I am the body of Christ and Satan has no power over me.  For I overcome evil with good."  (I Corinthians 12:27; Romans 12:21)

"I am of God and have overcome him (Satan).  For greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world."  (I John 4:4)

"I will fear no evil for You are with me, Lord, Your Word and Your Spirit they comfort me."  (Psalms 23:4)

"I am far from oppression and fear does not come near me."  (Isaiah 54:14)

"No weapon formed against me shall prosper, for my righteousness is of the Lord.  But whatever I do will prosper for I am like a tree that's planted by the rivers of water."  (Isaiah 54:17; Psalms 1:3)

"I am delivered from the evils of this present world for it is the will of God."  (Galations 1:4)

"No evil shall befall me neither shall any plague come near my dwelling.  For the Lord has given His angels charge over me and they keep me in all my ways, and in my pathway is life and there is no death."  (Psalms 91:10-11; Proverbs 12:28)

"I take the shield of faith and I quench every fiery dart that the wicked one brings against me."  (Ephesians 6:16)

"I am submitted to God and the devil flees from me because I resist him in the name of Jesus."  (James 4:7)

""The Word of God is forever settled in heaven.  Therefore, I establish His Word upon this earth."  (Psalms 119:89)

A Daily Confession:

I AM what God says I AM.  I have what God says I have.  I can do what God says I can do.  I am healed because God says I am healed and because Jesus already bore my sickness and disease in HIs own body so I don't have to.  I am strong because God says I am strong.  I am the righteousness of God through Jesus because God says I am the righteousness of God.  Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world, because God said the Greater One is in me.  Greater is He that is in me than any force that can come against me.  Greater is He that is in me than any difficulty ot problem that I face.  Praise the Lord!  Father, I do believe what you say about me!

REMEMBER, THE MORE TIME YOU SPEND WITH THE LORD, PRAYING AND STUDYING HIS WORD, THE STRONGER YOU WILL BECOME!  THIS IS THE "SECRET" TO DEFEATING THE DEVIL AND TO HAVING A VICTORIOUS LIFE!

He grabbed my hand and told me that when I asked who had the Lord living inside of them, he raised his hand but he really wasn’t sure what I had asked.  He asked his friend and when he realized what he had raised his hand for, he got excited.  All of a sudden he felt heat go down his leg and go out through his foot.  After the surgery he had on his leg, he had gotten an infection and it made him really sick to his stomach.  He said he realized that the infection was leaving his body and that his leg was healed.   The he said, but that’s not all!  He took his fingers and pulled open his eyelids and said, “I can see you!  I can see you!”  He told me that he had been praying for a miracle and when I said you can have your healing, he said he prayed again, and God gave him his miracle!!!

I started shouting and calling the Pastor to come over, but inmates kept stopping him to talk to him.  I didn’t mean to be rude to anyone else, but I was so excited about this miracle that just happened.  Finally the Pastor got over to us and the inmate stood up to show that his leg had been healed.  He also looked at each and every one of us.  Don’t tell me that God isn’t still in the miracle business!!!  You’ve come to late … I already KNOW better!

First of all, if you don’t know my son-in-law Jason, let me tell you about him.  This young man has never been in trouble in his life … not as much as a speeding ticket.  He would give you the last shirt off of his back.  When they opened the transitional home at his church, Jason and my daughter gave quite a bit of their furniture to the home including a locker freezer with meat and food in it.  Jason and Tammi are also the youth leaders over the middle school youth group at their church, as well as being very active in a home group.

Jason worked for a home builder company and was let go (along with several others) due to economy about a month ago.  He worked for his Dad after that until he was able to get another job.  Jason was the type who got to know the home-owners and has always been very friendly.  One night he helped one of the new home-owners move into the sub-division where he had been working.  My 8-year old granddaughter was with him.  When they were leaving they drove past the construction trailer and he noticed the door was open.  This trailer had been broken into previously so he stopped to check it out.  He went in to see if everything was okay and then closed the door and got back into his truck with his daughter and drove away.  Apparently there were a couple of tools missing and his truck was either seen in the area or was seen on video … I’m not sure which.  Jason was interrogated by detectives and he kept telling them that he did not take anything.  My son-in-law does not do very well under pressure.  I’ve heard him MANY TIMES over the 6+ years I’ve known him get frustrated if someone kept arguing with him and he’d throw up his hands and say, “Okay, it’s my fault.  I’m to blame.  Whatever you say.” 

Unfortunately when the detectives kept “hammering” him, this is what he did.  He finally asked them what did he have to say to get out of trouble with them … did he have to say he did it?  They told him yes, so he did.  But he did NOT steal anything.  Even my granddaughter told her Mother that her Daddy did not have anything in his hands when he came out of the trailer (and my granddaughter “tells all” … you can’t have any secrets with her around).

They had told him what tools were stolen and told him to buy the tools to replace them.  Jason went to Home Depot and bought the tools and took them to the detectives.  He said, “Here are the tools.  Now please leave me alone.”  They told him that the tools had been returned the previous evening, so he could take the tools back and get his credit card refunded.

Jason found out that there was a warrant out for his arrest so he had one of his best friends (who is the Deputy Sheriff of that county) drive him to the jail and he turned himself in rather than have them come to his house and arrest him.  I didn’t know any of this was going on until Monday of this week because Jason and Tammi believed nothing would come of it since he is innocent.  Tammi called me to help her by being a signer on the bond.  She had to put up over $1700.00 on a credit card to get him out.

I praise the Lord that their Pastor, church and friends are behind them.  They all know Jason and know that he wouldn’t do something like this.  The Pastor is going to try to raise the money in the church to pay the amount on her credit card, which will be a blessing because they have to hire an attorney.

This is very serious and will not just go away.  We need everyone’s prayers.  I KNOW that my Heavenly Father can handle this.  Proverbs 21:1 says:  The king's heart [is] in the hand of the LORD, [as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.  This means anyone in authority including judges, lawyers and jury.  My prayer is that our Heavenly Father will direct their hearts towards Jason and that no weapon formed against Jason shall prosper and any tongue that rises against him in judgment shall be shown to be in the wrong; and they will see the truth and will know that he is innocent of the charges against him.

Thank you for your prayers and support!  I love you all!

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.  Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you maybe able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, and the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feel fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.  With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.

Get “dressed” every morning before you even get out of bed by saying:

Dear Heavenly Father, I praise and worship You because You are God.  I am honored to be your servant and I take my stand today against the devil and his schemes against me and my family.  Father, as I take up each piece of armor, I secure it in place by the power and might of my Almighty Father.

Thank you, Lord, that I am saved and I put on Your Helmet of Salvation which protects my thinking, protects my mind from the enemy’s attacks.  I have the mind of Christ.

I put on Your Breastplate of Righteousness thanking You that I am the righteousness of God, asking the Holy Spirit to protect my emotions.  I am the righteousness of God, not because of anything I have done, but because of what Jesus did.  When I got saved, I became a new creature and according to the Word of God, I am not in “right-standing” or “righteous” before God!  In God’s eyes, my past never existed.  My sins are removed as far as the east is from the west!  (God made him (Jesus) who had no sin to be sin (or be a sin offering) for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.  2 Cor. 5:21)

I put on Your Belt of Truth.  Thy Word, O God, is truth.  I ask the Holy Spirit to help me discern between Truth and the lies of the enemy.

I put on Your “Shoes” of the Gospel of Peace that I may stand firm and steadfast against the enemy.  I have peace with God through the blood of Jesus.  I have favor with God and with man.  I walk in my inheritance as an adopted son (daughter) of God and have authority over evil in Jesus’ name.

I take the Shield of Faith and extend it over myself, knowing that everything You have promised me is true and I ask the Holy Spirit to help me be strong so I can stop the fiery “darts” of the enemy who wants to destroy me.  The Word says that You have come to give me life and give it more abundantly while the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy!  (The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. – John 10:10)

I take the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God to stop the attack of the devil.  I speak the Word of God as it applies to whatever situation I may face today.  Father, please remind me of Your Word through the Holy Spirit.

Thank you, Father, for the Whole Armor of God.  I will continue to pray throughout the day and stay on Your Word.  Please surround me with your hedge of protection as I move forward on the spiritual battlefield today.  I praise and worship You now and forever.  In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

This will get you prepared for the day and your spiritual warfare.  Will the devil still try to put thoughts into your mind, tempt you and “attack” you?  Sure he will.  But you are ready for him!  You have prepared!

Right now I am in the process of washing and packing clothes, putting the final touches on the program agenda for Saturday, and making sure that I've "dotted all of my i's and crossed all of my t's" for this weekend.

Tomorrow I will be pulling out with my team of 37 volunteers to go to the facility where I minister to my ladies every Monday night.  This is our 5th Day of Freedom there.  We take in a full praise and worship team with all of our instruments, sound equipment, etc., motorcycles, puppets, our Praise Dance Team, special speakers, and most importantly, our intercessors.   We are believing for salvations, healings, deliverances and that lives will be changed!  Please pray and believe with us.  These Ladies are very near and dear to my heart.

I will be attending a Friday night service at the facility tomorrow night and then we will go in early Saturday morning to set up.  We get to the prison at 7:30 AM to clear inventory check and then set up.  We start the Day of Freedom at 9:00 AM and go "non-stop" until 3:00 PM.  I put the schedule together and am also the "announcer" and make sure that everything flows yet follows the leading of the Holy Spirit. 

God is soooo good and faithful!  I feel so humbled and honored every time I walk into one of these prisons that He would use me in this capacity.  I know that a lot of people have mixed feelings about prisoners, but God loves them!

Thank you for your prayers and I appreciate all of you so very much.  You have become so special to me in such a short period of time and I thank God for you!
