This is another card using scraps. It's so much fun to be able to use up those bits and pieces. The card is a variation of the May layout on Sheetload of Cards.. The base card is probably SU. The next layer is the SU gray. All others are probably SU except for the patterned paper which may be from Creative Memories. The bird is from an Inkadinkado set that I just got. The squiggles are from one of those small dollar stamps. I set the SU eyelets with my Crop a Dile. The flower is Marigold Morning from SU and the Delight in Life stamp set from SU. One day I just stamped a bunch of the flowers and they've been sitting around for me to cut them out. I punched the center of the flower to make a ribbon slide, but of course you can't tell that because the sentiment(Hero Arts) is hiding it. I used my corner rounder on the top layer. Inspired by blogs where the gals have been doing this. Sounds more complicated than it is. I did sit down one day and cut the different layers from the Sheetload sketch. Used scraps, of course. I'll try and get the URL and post an edit.

This card is a variation on SCS sketch challenge #145. The base is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, but you cut off one inch from the front right edge and reuse it. The cs is Mellow Moss SU. The scalloped oval is Pomegranate SU. The sentiment is from one of those dollar stamps. The curly cues are hand drawn with soft black marker. I used a new clear flower stamp(think it's Inkadinkado) as background. The ink is Antiquities gray. Made the "bumps" on the inch strip on right with my new Crop A Dile. Also used it to set the eyelets from SU. They've been sitting around for a very long time. Used the ticket punch by SU in the upper and lower corners of the front where it opens. Must confess: I misoriented the card when I went to stamp the flower on the inside in Memories Midnight Blue. Guess it will be sent out anyway.

This card was inspired by this week's sketch challenge on SCS and a thread challenge to use some of that ribbon that has been sitting around your craft room. The base card is Very Vanilla SU and is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Used my Scor Pal to get a nice fold. I think the next layer is Pomegranate by SU. Not sure about all the colors as I picked things out of my huge scrap box. The layer right under the lady might be Mellow Moss SU. I used ArtPrint Brown to color the torn edges around the lady. Actually, I think the stamp is named Lady. She's a scrap, too. The layer she sits on was ticket punched(SU) and run through the Cuttlebug. All scraps. I feel so good about using just scraps. A friend loaned me her Crop a Dile to try out. I've been debating whether I really need one. It's soooo cool. There is a coupon that might just push me into getting the Dile.

I finally got back to doing a wee bit of art. Haven't been able to lately, but a friend inspired me today. The base card is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Mellow Moss(SU). The upper block is same paper run through the Swiss Dots folder(Cuttlebug). The bottom left block is from a Mat Stack of Old World by DCWV. The matching oval was cut using the Cuttlebug as was the white oval with the sentiment. The scalloped oval is punched out and hand dotted. The sentiment is handwritten. It came on a newsletter from the pastoral counseling from the hospital where DH passed away in October. I was looking for a friend quote earlier for another happy project, and lo and behold this came in today's mail. Sometimes you are given healing things at just the right moment. The tiny flowers are done with a dollar punch from Michael's that I've had for quite awhile and it comes in handy unexpectedly. Have a wonderful creative week.
