Sony has lost over $3 billion on the PS3 By Ben Silverman

Think you paid too much for your Playstation 3?
Don't expect any sympathy from Sony. In the company's fiscal 2008 annual report, Sony revealed that they've now lost roughly $3.3 billion (that's billion with a B) on the Playstation 3 since its launch. That breaks down to $2.16 billion in 2007, followed by a notably smaller but equally daunting $1.16 billion loss in 2008.

The reason?
Pricing the console below its production cost. That's right - that hefty $599 you paid for the PS3 back when it first launched was significantly cheaper than the cost of producing it in the first place, and while the retail price has come down some, the losses keep piling up.

we're so sad for sony...better luck on the PSP..
so get out more games ...damn it

Morning perils of working in Singapore

Travelling to Singapore in the morning ..is HELL ! !

1530;The sis-in-law just gave birth to a healthy baby boy at kempas hospital jb
1600; Due to lack of blood in the blood bank, she was transferred to sultan aminah
hospital...during the transfer , she loss 4 pints of blood.
1900; Both the wife and me arrived at the hospital.
she was still in operation theater.
diagnose: flabby uterus
her uterus didnt constrict back to normal after giving birth, this caused her
to lose a lot blood through the uterus.
this sypmtom rarely happens in the 1st born child but it normally happens in a mom with more than 5 children. The cure would be to remove the uterus right away. But the doctors wanted to give the wife a chance at giving birth to a second baby by saving the uterus

2300; she was transferred to ICU
looked pale and no bodily functions
24hrs were super critical

0200; left the hospital for a good night rest.

1100; woke up early in the morning for breakfast
si beh tu lan ...woo hoo
GOT A COLD ...
1200; visited the sis again.
critically stable, not losing blood
but fear blood infection
since her body is filled with other people blood
so antibodies were pumped into her to make sure no infection lah
1500; makan lunch
lepak a bit
took pics of her new nephew to show the sister later
1830; visit the sis again, got the same update from bro in law
2100; makan fu gua tang later

1000; woke up and makan
1200; visit the sister
waited outside for 0230hrs.
0500; ate nasi beriyani at restoran sayed taman perling
1530; went to lepak at angsana mall leh
saw a lot of malay people
malay stuff
malay food
malay not lenglui...mua haa haa...
1700; went back to visit the sis
she was breathing by herself and already craving for milo..
mua haa ...haa ...
i guess you cant just live on hospital food lor....
this is so funny wor.
waited and slept at the bench another 3hrs
2100; went back liao

FINALLY THE ORDEAL HAS ENDED ON NEW YEAR EVE 2007...
