Yes, the first quarter of 2008 is over and gone. Where did it go??? After the Holidays, I thought things would slow down and I could catch up, but wow! was I wrong. I'm not only designing and making jewelry for my business, I'm designing business materials for other businesses and running my family's heating and air conditioning business' office. Jill of all trades? Maybe, but now that tax time is looming, I'm about ready to pull an Ostrich. This morning I just wanted to pull the covers up over my head and go back into a deep winter's sleep until April 15th is over!
Anyway, I'm already behind in everything else, so let's just jump in to the next couple of weeks.
My new website launch is tenatively set for, yep, you gusses it: April 15th! What a way to take the mind off of taxes.
The following week is National Indoor Comfort Week. Anyone who breaths should be interested in indoor air and you can find out more about this at: www.balanceair.com
As for my new website: www.westmajinney.com is available, but not stocked, yet.
Please comment and let me know how I'm doing. I'll try to stop by and give a shout out to all my friends on 360!
Thanks for your support!

Here's a little information about this month's birthstone, the OPAL...
Opal
Opals are approximately 3 to 30% water
The high water content is partly responsible for the color in opals
Opals should never be stored in an extremely dry (low humidity) place
because it can ruin the beauty of the stone
Description
Translucent with color flecks inside the stone. They may be white, milky or dark colors.
Mohs' Hardness 4 1/2 - 6 1./2
Since 1849, 95% of the world's opals have been found in Australia, but
they have also been found in Mexico, USA, Kenya, Hungary, Poland, Brazil and
many other placesMetaphysical Properties
The Chinese considered it to be the "stone of heaven" and it is a symbol
of high rank. The Indians considered it more valuable than gold. In India
it is believed to protect from harm, ensure long life and help with
courage. Symbolizes strength, harmony, intelligence and friendship.Legends
Opals have been considered bad luck, but diamond merchants may have started this myth. Opals were once considered to make the bearer invisible, so it was carried by thieves and spies. The Romans carried opals as a good luck charm. The Greeks thought that opals carried the gift of prophecy. The
early Arabians thought that the flashes of light indicated heaven.
