Well, I've been knitting again. This time it's a multi-colored sweater project. This is the first time I've ever tackled a project of this magnitude. Very complex patterning, I really have to pay attention! That's sometimes hard for me.
Anyway, the color and pattern part of the project isn't so difficult as it is time consuming for me because I'm what some call a "thrower" and it just takes more time to throw the yarn from one hand as opposed to the "continental" style knitting which uses both left and right hand to work the yarns.
This pattern is called: Palette FairIsle Cardigan by Kathleen Taylor and has been published by KnitPicks.com
So, this sweater is knit in the round, like a large tube, and when the pieces are finished, I will have to cut through all this hard work. This is the main reason that this yarn has been sitting in my closet for over a year just waiting for me to work up courage to make that cut. I've never done this, so I'm quite apprehensive!
Wish me luck!
ps. more jewelry to come, soon!
I want to thank everyone who stopped by my website and voted for me at My Oh, My Shoppes! I made it to page one for about a day and a half, but I had 78 votes for last month! YEAH!!! And that's thanks to a lot of you here, on 360!
It's a numbers game and the more exposure, the higher the numbers, the better the chances to sell something. It's a tough economy right now, and everyone is dependant on everyone else. No, I didn't sell anything from the website, but I did have OK sales for May.
Not complaining, that's for sure. We will be moving into a bigger space around the first of August, and other than a mortgage, we're debt free.

I am trying to get to the front page of a craft network, I'm close, but not close enough. I would like to get to the top page for best exposure. I am currently on the bottom half of the second page. Just about where you get lost. If I can get everyone who finds this blog, to go to my website, find teh My Oh My shoppe button on the left hand side. Once you're there, Vote and enter. If I get enough votes, my website will be on the top page for a while.
This helps me get exposure for my website and helps with sales. I know that I have a lot of work to do on the site, and a lot of pieces to enter still. But it's a work in progress. If we wait til everything is done perfectly, we miss so much of life.
Just jump in there, find my website at: http://www.westmajinney.com , about halfway down on the left hand column is a button for My, Oh My Shoppes. Click it and Enter and Vote for me. You can find me about half way down the second page, once there. You may find other really cool sites once you're there, too. Look around.
Thank you to all who support me and my work. To all my friends, here on 360, LOVE to you!!!
Kathy
This beautiful sterling silver pendant with Rhodochrosite and Garnet is the focal point of a soft striaded Rhodochrosite, Garnet and Fresh water Pearl necklace.
Earrings to match.

For today's Bridal Expo, I threw this little number together. The nice thing about this illusion necklace is the finish. I've seen them finished with the ends of the strands sticking out, in the back near the closure. But this one has a wire guard so the illusion strand won't break, and is finsihed off nicely with clipped and glued ends.
This one is crystal and pearl, but can be done with any number of elements or strands.
