We had a great time at CES with the first public showing of the new PodTech News team. Here I'm interviewing Morgan Freeman talking about the new media model of clickstar. Clickstar is the new model that allows the artists to go direct to the audience over the internet. I had an amazing meeting with Anant Jhingran the CTO of IBM Search and Info Mgt group on Friday. We had a great chat and will be doing a series of podcasts on computer science, search, and other research topics.
What really got me excited was not only how smart Anant is but his IBM vision around enterprise search. We also talked about trends like blogging and podcasting and other unstructured data trends. I'll have more on the IBM search vision in my upcoming podcast with Anant. Very impressive work being done there at IBM.

Yesterday PodTech introduced PodTech News. PodTech will have a dedicated team of professional podcasters podcasting the news starting with technology national and international stories.
It's a beta because we're pushing a new web site next week so for now PodTech News will be under PodTech.net.
More news coming as well. Some big announcements this month.

PodTech.net gets the nod for Worlds Best Podcasting Site. What a complement. Here is the link to the site. I am happy for the award and I'm working hard to build out more great content for people and keeping the "Fresh Voices" coming.

One of the things that I was impressed with about this was Yahoo's recognition of Podcasting as part of the launch. Not only did the team do their normal kick ass launch but what was more significant was the role Geoff's podcast played. Podcasting is a real time communication utility so not just for shows but for any communication. Geoff said if right - Podcasting is where Internet Radio meets Web 2.0. What is very apparent after today is that Podcasting is a great way to reach the community of bloggers and individuals who want to hear directly and then share in the results with collegues and friends.
I see Podcasting as a way to continue to reach customers in this real time web. Yahoo harnessed the medium and created a community launch. Well done. I was honored to be involved.
