Here's the email that I'm sending out regarding Chuq o de Mayo 7:
Hi all,
Some of you are new to the Chuq o de Mayo tradition, but you're invited to this year's celebrations. Since I'm turning 30 and I've always had a Mexican theme what better
place to celebrate than Cancun, Mexico?
Right now, I'm trying to get a preliminary head count for who is going to go. I've got a travel agent all lined up, but little details besides that. I'm looking at the weekend of May 12-13, 2006. It will likely be a long weekend (leave Thursday or Friday and stay until about Tuesday the 16th), but you don't have to go for the whole time, or you can stay longer.
With the heavily drinking nature of the people that will be going on this trip, I'm looking at staying at an all inclusive resort which means that ALL alcohol in included while we're at the resort. It will also include food, but who's going to have time to eat?
Please let me know if you're at least interested in going, and who you would like to room with (significant other, friend, etc.). Please feel free to forward this to singnifcant others, friends, other people as well.
I'll send out some more details as I get them. Right now the dates aren't final, and actually pretty much nothing is final, I'm just trying to get an idea of who is interested in going.
Thanks!
Chuq
Hurricane Katrina has wreaked havoc on many places, but especially
New Orleans, LA. With such disasters, one must find some humor in it. I like this quote:
"We always were afraid the bowl that is New Orleans would fill quickly," Walter Maestri, emergency management coordinator for Jefferson Parish, said in a radio interview. "Now with the water rising today, it appears to be filling slowly," he said. "The water is rising so fast I cannot begin to describe how quickly it's rising," Tulane University Medical Center Vice President Karen Troyer-Caraway told CNN.

Also, FoxNews correspondent Shepard Smith got the
F-Bomb dropped on him during a live telecast.
And then, two CNN hosts
argued live on CNN.
On a more serious note, you can follow the hurricane
