Dear Friends -- I would like to thank all of you for the lovely messages and wishes in celebration of my birthday on Oct. 17, 2007. Your friendships are cherished and I love every one of you. I could not ask for better friends.

My birthday was celebrated with a day out on the town, as the picture above portrays. I have other pictures from the day on my flickr site for your enjoyment.

I had not been out for some time, other than the Sacramento Gala in September, which was fantastic. Thanks to all the Tri-Es girls who made the event a big success and I hope to see all my new local friends soon. Pictures from the Gala are also on my flickr page.

I had wanted to see my GG friend, Melissa, at the local department store makeup counter too, so I had to get out and have some girl time. It was fantastic.

To make a long story short, I first went to a local shoe store looking for brown boots but did not find anything appropriate, then I paid a visit to Mel. She loved my outfit and appearance and we soundered down the mall to get a snack (we had hoped to meet for lunch, but her hours did not coincide with mine). Then to celebrate my big day, Mel took me back to her station and gave me a touch-up around my eyes and cheeks. Once again, her technique was fem-tastic, as you can see above.

After leaving Mel, I visited another shoe store, a couple department stores and stopped at Macy's looking at the latest fall dresses. Unfortunately, again, I did not find anything I truely needed.

Before leaving the busy mall, I stopped at the food court to enjoy a light lunch -- a girl has to watch her figure -- and then headed out for more window shopping at another mall. There, I found a number of wonderful dresses and tops at the JC Penney store, and tried on three or four for future consideration. I really loved one dress, which I plan to buy for my next photo shoot at I Love It Girl.

Just being out is wonderful, but to do so on my birthday was even better. I look forward to a winter next shopping spree in November.

Dear Friends -- I'm in total shock and still on Cloud 9, at the same time!!!

I can't believe I have so many lovely friends who unexpectedly pushed me over the top and to the May "Lady Of The Month" award on the popular You Are Not Alone (URNA) website.

It is an honor to be celebrated by my peers and it brought tears to my eyes last night when I learned of the my election. I will never be able to thank all of you who voted for me for your kindness and love.

I would especially like to thank Jamie Dailey, a prior URNA winner, and JoAn Torres, the owner of I Love It Girl salon in Fremont, CA, for getting out the vote. I never expected anything like this. And the notes of congratulations have be overwhelming.

I would also like to thank all my admirers that have pushed my Yahoo 360 page to over 160,000 hits and my flickr.com site to over 150,000 views of my pictures.
