Not quite the 'mind of Minolta.'
Attached is one of my favorite shots from a recent photo shoot I had with fellow 360 member, Desi. I was editing this shot and 'accidentally' zoomed in too far and liked how it filled the screen. It's a keeper! Let me know what you think.
Hi Everyone,
As usual I've been busy but this time with school too. Anyway, last weekend I went to Miami to photograph a small wedding behind the Ritz Carlton on South Beach at 7am...yes, 7am. It was an awesome experience, no formal wedding shots, just 'shoot as you go' which was very different than previous weddings. The wedding party was dressed in PINK but it actually worked. During the reception part, one of the singers asked for a photo shoot later that afternoon and that's exactly what we did. So I'm happy to say I had two photo shoots in one day. I've attached one of my favorite wedding shots which I plan on adding to my website shortly.
Now, back to work and school. Enjoy!
Well, Yahoo has forced me to relocate the artistic nudes album to Google or another online medium. I've had too many complaints that no one can see the Nudes album even after sending it to them via an email invitation. I honestly don't like Yahoo's photo album changes so I'm taking my 'business' elsewhere. I understand needing to protect those underage and have absolutely no problem with that but, there has to be a way to let those I'm authorizing to view the photos to actually see them instead of a "this album does not exist" response. Can anyone recommend a site (other than Multiply) that would allow artistic nudes? I'm not interested in shooting or posting porn.
I'm happy to say that I'm keeping busy. I just had a paid event photo shoot on Wednesday night and I was able to meet Ed Gordon from BET and take a photo with him. My first celebrity! Anyway, I uploaded the shots for my client last night and I'll be retouching just a few to upload later.
I'm also trying to get my promised 'freebie' (TFP/CD) shoots done as quickly as possible. I have at least three pending all in different cities. Tomorrow I was invited to photograph an event for the DFW International Organization's Latin Christmas show. That's should be fun as well.
I'm REALLY looking forward to the paid wedding shoot next month at South Beach. That's a nice way to end the first week of school...PLUS I get frequent flyer miles for the trip!
Tonight I have some homework though. I just joined a website that I will use for print fulfillment purposes. In other words, I upload the photos to the site, set MY prices and I get 85% of the total of each sale. I'm looking forward to setting that up since I was losing a ton of money by letting my clients bypass me on getting prints directly from this other website and actually seeing the price I pay before markup..not smart. I'm tightening up the lose ends and making sure I get the money I rightfully earned on each photo shoot. Let's hope this increases the revenue stream. I need it for school.
Well back to work. Have a great weekend everyone!
