Nifty Freeware Tools for Windows XP - Part 1

Freeware Tools to keep Windows XP slim, fast, reliable and stable

Especially for musicians but mostly for other users as well,
working on a PC (Personal Computer) based sytem,
Windows XP, older or/and further Microsoft releases like current Windows Vista,
are the OP`s (Operation Systems) to go for.

For this Microsoft Windows OP`s often additional tools are needed
to get them running fast(er) and (at the same time) stable.

One of them I`d like to introduce, because I work with it all the time.
It`s free, but donations are welcomed.

The basic questions due to a Microsoft Windows installation are:
- What the heck do you install when you have a monstrous package
in terms of gigabytes on your hard disk after Windows is ready to go ?

- Why do you need to be present during installation (typing serial, doing adjustments etc.),
can`t this be done without you ?

- Why a fresh installation has to become a one after another reboot orgy,
when new service packs and all dependent drivers needed to be installed after ?

New Song "Delivered Free" Released
New Song "Delivered Free" Released magnify

The new song "Delivered Free" is available

and downloadable for free at common MP3 platforms like soundclick.com or MP3.de ,
a full list of MP3 portals to be found here.

This project was very interesting since I came to the question
what will happen if I perform and produce with the strict option
to only use freeware and free material available on the internet.
(Ready made loops of any instrument excluded)

At what quality music can be composed and performed
with freeware, companies and private persons developed
and generously posted on the internet for free use.

So the song title "Delivered Free"
refers to the fact of having worked with freeware only.

Introducing Music for Vipassana Meditation
Introducing Music for Vipassana Meditation magnify

I have the impression
sometimes a little enjoyable invitation,
an opening door, an initial point
could be helpful for others to give meditation a try.

Meditation in general is mostly missinterpreted
as an act of concentration
or commonly pictured as to sit naked in a cave
with flies around the head.
And an intelligent reply understandably is:
No thanks, nothing for me.

I also came across many many people talking all kind of nonsense
when it comes to meditation.

The biggest portion goes to that
cosmic mumbo jumbo, home-brewed romantic nirvana light show,
self-knitted supernatural transcendental wish-wash
picked up by some books, tv shows, so called teachers and other resources.
And an intelligent reply again understandably is: No thanks, nothing for me.

Now, thus simply reflects obstacles and reasons, amongst others,
why we don`t have a practical, direct access to meditation
and is filled with buckets full of clichès, stereotypes amd missleadings.

So to open you a simple and doable entry into meditation
with an enjoyable addition of music, I created

Music for Vipassana Meditation

including a complemental manual in html format,
with all details needed to start and give it a go right from the scratch.

The manual also suggests variations of sitting and dealing with the meditation
and suggests to give it a try for at least 21 days.

`Music for Vipassana Meditation` sounds a bit paradox
because Vipassana, once brought to us by Buddha,
is a silent meditation, sitting and watching the breath ...

What I have created is a supporting frame to practice Vipassana
either alone or in a group.

It can be done anywhere, anytime ...
indoor, outdoor,at home, while traveling and so on.

`Music for Vipassana Meditation`
provides you an enjoyable session start with music of Omkar
to help you to slowly calm down and to become at ease with the silent sitting,
followed by silence and a signal of a gong sound to mark the end.

Supported and time managed is a Vipassana session of 40 minutes in total
which is known as to be most convenient sitting time both for beginners and advanced.

So aside the music helping to dive into silence in a comfortable way
it is a time management as well for the complete session
without the daily need of thinking about having prepaired something
like a clock radio to end a session.

The digital age today with formats like MP3 and MP3 players
even allows you to practice in public, like when traveling via train, airplane etc.

Summarized, `Music for Vipassana Meditation` gives you the frame
to practice alone, in a group, at home, in public, when traveling
and in any situations allowing a 40 minutes run.

Further informations and internet links refering to Vipassana
to be found on the manual.

To keep the costs at a reasonable price,
the `Music for Vipassana Meditation` can be downloaded exclusively
at the new paypal shop corner of omkarmusic.com
with the intention to save shipping costs and intermediary trade.

Please understand it as an invitation to make your own experience
and don`t consider it a teaching.

I am not a follower of Buddhism, Neo-Buddhism or similar.
I simply offer you a frame for a jewel of a meditation technique
Buddha once has given us
with my digital addition not invented yet when Buddha was alive.

RIAA: Illegal to Copy Puchased Music from CD to Computer

RIAA continues to kill off the old world music industry.

Most people decry the farce that is the RIAA and their pursuit of personal attacks against the consumer.
Rather than adapting to the viral capabilities the internet provides to independent musicians,
the RIAA continues to alienate consumers and kill off loyalty remaining for the labels and artists they represent.
As a result, the RIAA has completely and utterly failed to turn-around the downward spiral
of album sales and the rise of digital music sharing.
