A few years back a local radio station decided to do a two hour show on protest songs from the 60's and the 70's. I thought the idea was interesting. I had no idea how interesting it would be. i am sorry to say that I did not get the names of any of the songs because my mind was exploding. These were some of the most explosive songs that i had ever heard. I had thought the songs of U2 were powerful, but this puts U2 to shame.

I felt that the Dj's would give a name of each of the songs but they never did. the reason being the Dj's at the radio station were be pelted by calls with swearing listener. some of the songs brought back such emotion that people were loosing their minds.

what i want is for some of the reader of this blog to let me know of some hard hitting protest songs. they can be protest songs about vietnam,social injustice ect. from rock,rap,county,or any kind of group. the group can be local or famous. i don't care from what time it was just as long as it is a protest song. please let me know the name of the song,who it is by,and what are they singing about.
