Who's Responsible???

We have all contributed to the ecological damage inflicted on our planet. And if we do not exercise caution, we may lose it all...

One trillion. That's the approximate number of plastic bags consumed globally every year. That works out to over one million bags a minute. And, out of these, billions end up as litter each year. It takes about 1000 years for a plastic bag to decompose - more than 12 times the lifespan of the average human being. Extrapolating the above facts means that for every simple plastic bag you use today, you will be cursed by future generations till the time the plastic bag finally decomposes giving a SIGH of relief to the environment! What's more plastic bags kill thousands of wild animals every year. How so? Sea birds, sea turtles, whales and seals often mistake the bags for jellyfish. They ingest the bags and then die of intestinal blockage. Plastic bag debris can also quickly become entangled on a coral and smother it. Problems occur in our day to day lives: many plastic bags clog drainage systems and sewer lines, leading to increased flooding. Of further concern is the sheer cost of clean-up of pollution from the bags.

We may not be in the position to eradicate this problem at once, and completely; but there are certainly many things we can do taking a step each to help our environment!

Lovely...lovely morning...

Ohh, it’s so maddening to start your day to work after a lovely weekend and especially when your sweetheart is at home too… Reluctantly I wake up to hit office…

Sigh! Here I am back to my cabin, with a table loaded with work…ohh NO!!!

Instead of thumping on my to-do’s, I am thinking of my sweetheart, hmmm!

Suddenly my cell beeps a message (aargghh! I hope it’s not my boss …)

I hesistantly open the message, and in total surprise and thrill read it –

“Good Morning Darling!...this is not just a morning greeting…but a silent message to tell you that I was thinking of you as I woke up…************....”

Ahaa...what a lovely way to start my day.....:D

Back to ME!

Whoaa….man! It certainly feels like eons since I have been here…hehe

Was fully enjoying the amazing and most endearing phase of my life… only me and mine…my sweetheart for life next to me…treating me like a Cinderella, pampering me all time, showering me with the love of a lifetime …

Wish to relive every moment with the same vigor and frolic…

Now am back here…to reconnect to my old part which is as important..to fuse my yesterday and today and discover a whole new fascinating transition…hmm…

When My Mind is Still...

When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart,
I remember things too easily forgotten:
The purity of early love,
The maturity of unselfish love that asks --
desires -- nothing but another's good,
The idealism that has persisted through all the tempest of life.

When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart,
I can find a quiet assurance, an inner peace, in the core of my being.
It can face the doubt, the loneliness, the anxiety,
Can accept these harsh realities and can even grow
Because of these challenges to my essential being.

When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart,
I can sense my basic humanity,
And then I know that all men and women are my brothers and sisters.
Nothing but my own fear and distrust can separate me from the love of friends.
If I can trust others, accept them, enjoy them,
Then my life shall surely be richer and more full.
If I can accept others, this will help them to be more truly themselves,
And they will be more able to accept me.

When my mind is still and alone with the beating of my heart,
I know how much life has given me:
The history of the race, friends and family,
The opportunity to work, the chance to build myself.
Then wells within me the urge to live more abundantly,
With greater trust and joy,
With more profound seriousness and earnest service,
And yet more calmly at the heart of life.
