It's just too much to be true. But I have met people like that from time to time. Psycho knife nuts and wannabe militia men gamers. But to all be in the same place at the same time.... Wow.
So I reinstalled Vampire:The Masquerade; Bloodlines again. Holy moley, that is probably the greatest game ever. Evar! Sick, twisted, dark, and evil. But so thoroughly engaging.
The haunted hotel is quite possibly the freakiest, scariest level of a game I've ever played. I had to shut it off last night cause it was freaking me out so badly.
Great game and now very cheap.
Man, if they would only make a Vampire MMO, I'd never see my wife and kid again. Sucks Troika went under.
I live... again.
Man, works has been wild and crazy. Not to mention fatherhood. But now that we're wrapping up Vista, I feel like I have some breathing room again. Whew! What a deathmarch that was. But it's worth it I think. I love my Vista box and I can't wait to install it at home. There's been lots of good progress since Beta 2.
Wes is doing well. Growing up so fast! We took him to the Seattle aquarium yesterday. He loved the bright colored fish, but mostly he just people watched. Latest Wes pix: http://www.wesleybransimpson.com

It was a long and intense labor, starting on Saturday. Throughout
the weekend we walked around every supermarket and costco in our area.
It was tiring, but we were excited. Monday we went to the hospital, but
they sent us home. There were contractions, but they weren't frequent
enough, and Patty was only 1 cm. By Tuesday, the pain was pretty
severe, so we went back. Patty's contractions were closer together, but she
was still only 1cm. They gave Patty a morphine shot to help her sleep,
and we finally got a few hours of rest. By Wednesday, the contractions
were even stronger. We went into the hospital at 3:00 am on Thursday,
and the Midwife decided that we'd had enough and they weren't sending
us home without a baby. They induced Patty by breaking her water, and
that did the trick. Contractions came on stronger and harder. She went
from 4cm to 10 cm in an hour and a half. Then she started pushing.
Pushing for close to three hours, the baby was making little progress.
By 11:00, the midwife decided that there wasn't enough progress being
made, so they rushed Patty into an emergency c-section. Ten minutes
later, Baby Simpson was born.
He is a calm and quiet baby who likes snuggling with Mommy and
listening to Daddy sing Elvis tunes. He's already quite the sleeper. He
slept 4 hours straight on his second night (yay!)
Mom, Dad and Wesley are doing great.
We've been in what's called "false labor" for the past four days. I don't know why they call it false labor, the contractions (and the pain) are very real. It's been a really long last few days. At least Patty is able to get some sleep. We're already exhausted, and the real deal hasn't even begun yet!
Bucky's head is turned backwards, so it's putting a lot of pressure on Patty's lower back. We're doing what we can to try and get Bucky to twist, but so far it doesn't seem to be helping. We'll be going on another walk today to see if that helps. It's a nice day and I'm off work, so that's a bonus. I'm glad I'm here to take care of Patty.
