Previously, it was called "Dong tan" (toddy palm) Beach as there were a lot of toddy palm along the beach. Although the beach is rather narrow, it has white sand and is only 4 kilometers south of Pattaya Beach. This 6 kilometers-stretch of beach can be reached by the turning right to a road branching off at kilometer 150.5 of Sukhumvit road for another 2 kilometers. There is a shady road parallel to the beach all along the way. Jomtien Beach is a quiet beach so both Thai and foreign tourists prefer to travel here for relaxation, go swimming, windsurfing, water scooter riding and play other water sports. At Jomtien Beach, there are many food shops available for providing service to tourists as well as hotels and our rental accommodation "Jomtien Beach Condominium", restuarants etc.
