Stay tuned for more pics and blogs later in the week!
We wanted to feature Max one last time before he has to share the spotlight with his little sister. We are scheduled to be induced tomorrow (Tuesday, Dec. 18th) so we will be back soon with an update and pictures.
Max
I apologize for being such a slacker and not blogging in forever. So much has been going on around here that there hasn’t been much time for updating the blog.
As I mentioned, things have been pretty crazy around here. You all know that we are less than 4 weeks (hopefully) away from baby Mia’s arrival. We have been having fun getting the nursery ready. As soon as it is complete we will post some pictures.
Max’s personality is in full effect. He is starting to talk quite a bit. Every day he comes up with more words that we can actually understand. Usually it’s in English, but sometimes it’s Spanish. He’s been sleeping in his toddler bed for a couple of weeks now so that the crib is available for his baby sister. He still has no concept of how much his world will be changing soon. We really think that he’ll be a great big brother from the start, I just hope he doesn’t prove us wrong!
Since the last blog about Tim and Gina’s wedding, quite a bit has been going on. My brothers, Adam and Brad, came up for a visit along with their entourage. It was a fun filled weekend with shopping, dinners out, our now annual trip to the pumpkin patch and miniature golf. I had so much fun spending time with my family. I have two of the greatest nieces ever! They are getting so big and I love spending as much time as I can with them.
The weekend after the visit with the family, we headed to the city to see Kathy Griffin perform. Tickets to the show were my birthday gift from my awesome wife. Sara and Saul went with us for the evening. We had dinner in the city first and then headed over to the show. Kathy was hilarious. I highly recommend watching her show on Bravo My Life on the D List. Tune in Tuesday nights at 9:00. The show that we were at was being taped for a Bravo special as well. That will air November 29th. The show had us laughing so hard that Saul literally dumped his beer on innocent people that just happened to be sitting in front of us.
Max had his second Halloween. He was an adorable dragon. Sara came over with Dante, Sade and Grey for dinner and trick-or-treating. Sade was Sleeping Beauty, and Dante and Grey were both Indians. The kids loved the festive Halloween food we had for dinner. They also had a blast collecting tons of candy. Max didn’t really get the trick-or-treating part of the night, but he had so much fun just being out in his costume running around the neighborhood.
My friends Billy and Maria came for a visit one evening. Their son Leo is three and Max had fun playing with him while he was here. They were only here for one evening, but it was so good to see them. They are two of my oldest friends and now that they live in Indiana, I miss them so much.
And, last but not least . . .
Our friend Julie gave us some very exciting news the other day. She is in the process of purchasing a new condo in Berwyn! From the pictures that we saw, it’s a beautiful place. She will be just a few minutes from her job. She will also be just 15 minutes from the city. Julie we are so excited for you and can’t wait to come over and visit. Congratulations on your new home.
Again, I apologize for the absence of news. As you can see, we have had a pretty busy month and I promise that I will be regularly blogging again. Between the holidays and the new arrival I will have plenty to share with all of you. There are new pictures in the flickr photostream link. For some reason Yahoo does not update the photos that can be seen in the main page even when there are new photos added so if you want to check for new pics you actually have to click on the link to look.
