Sorry, I haven't been able to read any blogs or comment on anyone's, but I've had a busy last few days. I'm thinking about all of my online friends and I hope everyone is doing good.

Today, I lost one of my first friends. After 16 looong years of making me smile and following me around and being my little cow-dog, Chico is gone. My dad and I made the decision to put him down yesterday and we took him in today. I was praying and praying that God would take him overnight, but it didn't happen. He needed assistance. I know he was ready though. Sunday morning I woke around 6am to go potty and then I walked into the kitchen and there was Chico...helpless, like a baby deer--sprawled out in an awkward position in his own waste. He couldn't even stand up to get out of it. So I cleaned around him and then after trying again to stand him up (he just fell back down) I covered him in towels and went back to bed. I couldn't have done anything else at the time. So then I got back up at 11 am and he was walking around! BUt after seeing him in that state, I knew. I knew it wasn't right to keep him alive. PLus, that isn't the only time it has happened this week--this was just the first that I saw of it.

So we took him in, I gave him chocolate pudding while we were there. He scarfed some of it down. Got it all over himself. THen the lady came to take him. She wouldn't let us go in though. They let us last year for Bruno, but not now. ..? So I'm kind of lacking closure. Sucks. She said they'd give him a shot of sedative in his cheek to knock him out before they administered "the shot" to him. I wanna believe that he is long gone now. In Heaven with his best friend, Bruno, and my grandma...and Duke, my grandma's boxer.

When I came home today from my dad's, I was very happy to be greeted by Sunny, Dinky and a barking-mad Fritzy. They bumrushed me and were all over me. It was comforting. I took a nap and now I'm sipping my coffee because me and Davis go to work at 10 tonight. It's 9 now, I gotta run. I just wanted to let everyone know what's up and if I'm not too tired when I get out, I'll check up on everyone's blog.
