Life is an adventure, get out and explore God's beautiful creation! My 2006 PCT Journal is below, scroll down to see.
I have recently published two calendars with photos from my 2006 PCT hike, from the Mexican border to Manning Park, Canada. They are both 2008 calendars, but are 15-month calendars which start with October 2007. One is the scenic version, which has photos of trail SCENERY, the other is the hiker version, which has photos of HIKERS on the trail. Order one or both now to enjoy the photos! They are available at:

You can preview all of the photos via a down-loadable pdf before ordering. If you would like to rate them, you can also vote on them there as well. Thanks.

Sorry to be so late with this. I have decided to switch back to my MSN Spaces blog as it is easier to use and read. I just posted an update on that, along with new photos. Please check it out at: http://spaces.msn.com/members/vichanson/
Thanks,

Just over a year ago I climbed Coropuna, a mountain just over 21,000 feet, with Carlos and Hugo, friends from Lima. They have invited me to join them climbing 2 mountains this year. I will meet them tomorrow night at the base of Solimana, which is a fairly technical climb. I'm not sure if I am ready for that yet but will see how it goes. After that we will go to Arequipa and re-supply and then try to climb Ampato as well. There was an article in National Geographic a number of years ago when a couple of climbers found Juanita up there, she is a well preserved mummy, I think from Inca times.
The picture is of Solimana.
I will try to post a report in between climbs, if not it will be in about 10 days.
