November 14th March of Dimes celebrates Prematurity Awareness Day.

If we can persuade Google to create a doodle for us on November 14th, we can potentially be seen by millions of internet users.

Please help us spread the word, and sign the petition for the top spot on Google!

This is very simple to do, and It can help many millions of babies. It only takes a second of your time, and every single name that we can get on the list strengthens it in the eyes of google, and every single name is important! Please, together we can save babies!

The link for this is http://www.marchofdimes.com/forms/signpetition.asp

There's not much time left, so please do this as soon as possible!!!

Hello again! Been a while, hasn't it?

Hi! I know it's been a while. I've had soo much stuff to do lately that I have just not had time to write anything!!! :(

So, in regards, let's ask a little question. Today's question is....

Who is your favorite saint, and why??

To answer, just leave a comment under this article. I'm also trying to work on starting up doing a little "mini sermon" each sunday...

I have also recently become a canter at my parish. My priest asked me if I've ever been to an abbey, and I said no. He told me that my voice resonates and sounds like a monk! Hah! :)

Well... back to work on the sermon...................

4th Sunday of Easter: Treasures from our Tradition
4th Sunday of Easter: Treasures from our Tradition magnify
Surprisingly, the church moved very slowly in claiming marriage as a focus of attention and care. Nearly everywhere in the Roman world, citizens agreed on how to celebrate marriage. Consent of the man and woman is what made a marriage valid in the eyes of the law, and although there was a traditional ceremony, it was home-based and optional. The ceremony was for showing the social status of the families involved (the procession ideally detoured through crowds), and for reminding the woman of her legal transfer from her father's control to her husband's. The "big moment" of the ceremony had nothing to do with vows, but with the bride's donning the daily wear of married women. A wedding feast included soothsayers and animal sacrifice to the new household's gods. Christians found that distasteful, of course, but since marriage was a family matter, they could edit things out. The church was comfortable with this, and sometimes recommended that the couple seek the advice of the bishop. His permission was only required for the marriage of a cleric, or for a marriage Rome didn't recognize, such as between a free woman and a slave. There was no blessing, no liturgy, no priest. Christians followed the customs of the day, but they knew that custom and relationships were transformed from within themselves by the fact of their baptism. Outwardly, Christians married exactly as their pagan neighbors, but they certainly invested the usual gestures with a dynamic sense of Christ's presence.

Decisions, decisions, decisions....
Decisions, decisions, decisions.... magnify

We all face difficult decisions at one time or another in our life. It's natural for that to happen. Now, when I say difficult I dont mean "Ketchup or Mayonnaise". Those are simple decisions that we face every day, even though it may sometimes feel like your entire life will end if you don't get the right combination of pickles and relish. (Seriously, I'm hungry). We must in the end face those decisions and whatever we decide, these "simple" decisions will not hurt us.

But what about those hard decisions that will effect us? Since becoming Catholic I've noticed something pulling on my heart. I've really noticed it since before becoming Catholic. Not trying to sound overly dramatic, I've felt called to the Priesthood.

I've asked God some things in my life and he's answered me point blank. Actually, it seems that everytime that I've asked God something he's answered straight to the point. I decided that that must work well, so I asked him what he wants me to do with my life. Now I'm literally being bombarded by people that say "You should become a Priest". And I'd already been thinking that! I'm deciding what I should do. I've just recently become Catholic, but I'm a book worm and have learnt basically all about Catholicism. I honestly feel drawn towards this, basically how I felt about becoming Catholic. I guess only time can tell.

God Bless,

H.L.D.

P.S. Any comments on this article especially would be great. And any prayers would be greatly appreciated.
