ahh snow I think I may be injured from my sledding wipe outs but it was soooo much fun! We found the best hill because some friends and I had been photographing nature the day before. I spied some teens sledding and it looked great so I brought my kids out the next day to kick some snow but! We had about two hours of good sledding before a huge Hispanic family invaded out massive hillside...by then we were wet and cold and ready to go.

Its been a hard few weeks. My ex husbands father Cecil has been very sick for some years, they are bringing him home to hospice today. I have always cared for this man and always wished for the best for him. He has been good to me since I was a scared teen age girl and even after I left his son. He defended me against others in the family and never bad mouthed me in court. This is a testimony to a man who has been kind to silly girls and grand kids, always giving generously of his heart and pocket, keeping a smile even when he was ill, and always forgiving an errant son, and loving his crazy wife and mislead daughter. I love you Cecil and I do not look forward to saying goodbye. I would like anyone who reads this to know he was a great man, he is known for teaching Abigail to sew, understanding Astaras humor and always finding a minute to listen to Alex go on and on about his flavor of the moment video game. May we all find courage to live without you, to laugh even though you are no longer here to laugh with us, and to try not look back at our loss of you with too much regret knowing you are always a part of us. I don't know how long it will be until I have to put an end to this particular blog, I hope it isn't to soon. Miracles do happen but, death is inevitable. Anyone who reads this I welcome you to offer up a prayer to whatever higher power you believe for a brave and loving man.
Thank You, and may your higher power bring you strength,
Barbara

We have begun the journey of finding a house within our price range. We decided on Lake Elsinore. The population is booming and there is a lot of work. We had a lot of fun checking out the entire town top to toe and found lots of old architecture, wildlife, and nature. There was a dirt bike rally and watching the boys propel themselves into the atmosphere was rather amusing! The lake was choppy and it rained a bit and, the Ortega highway was obscured by clouds but, the cool weather was very refreshing. We found a great agent who promises to get us the best deal ever with perks near the lake so we are excited, he also told us where to stay away from, of coarse Todd wandered right onto the street he said stay away from.....it was really gross and scary with a cute little house sitting in the middle of it! Silly Todd he means well but me I don't want to live one block from a strip club hip hop night club! LOL! So by next weekend we should have a home picked out and we will begin the six month approval process, it should be fun and it gives us time to tie up loose ends in SD.

Here we are farming rocks from a beach in Encinitas......they had enough so I thought they could share with us so I could build my water garden. I like the way Todds hat is sitting on his head. And of course Alex got soaked the bone and I had to give up my coat so he could take off his pants! Kids....
