Happy Stitching . . . .
Grandmother of two who loves to do all needlework (cross stitch, needlepoint, knitting, etc.).
Good Grief. I didn't realize how long it has been since I have written anything. A couple of weeks ago my father-in-law was admitted to the hospital. I travelled from Texas to Illinois to be with him. We hope to be able to get him settled into a rehab/nursing home soon. I haven't had time to do much except sit in a hospital room. I can only catch a few minutes here and there to work on my needlework. Don't have a camera but will post a picture as soon as I can. Not used to this cold weather. Brrrrr!
I finally started the photo of my grandchildren. I always worry that the colors are too dark but they usually turn out OK. I am afraid that if I brighten it the children's faces will be too pale.
Today is a rough day. When I was at the post office the young man handed me my mail and said "There you go, Sweetie." SWEETIE! I hate that. I don't think anyone should call a stranger Sweetie unless they are under 10 or over 80. To add insult to injury today is my 60th birthday. I guess I am now officially a Sweetie.
I only have a little corner left on my Seal Rock project so I am trying to get it done. I was hoping to finish this weekend but I didn't get in as much stitching time as I wanted. I have decided that my next thing will be a picture of my grandkids. I got a cute one the other day that I am anxious to start.
We are back in Fort Worth. John goes to Law School Monday through Thursday here so we have a condo in the downtown area within walking distance of the school. It is completely different lifestyle from our quiet lake house. Going to Law School is not my idea of retirement but he loves it and it gives me a lot of time to do what I love to do -- stitch.
