This weekend I went to the Winter Lace Conference and had a blast. There is nothing like being surrounded by tatting shuttles, thread, bobbins and books. WOOHOO. I didn't get a chance to take a class but will like to next time. I bought all types of threads and patterns from Deb Arnold and Lily Morales and even had the opportunity to meet with my teacher Maria Provencher who I had not seen in 15 years! I promised her that I would try to make the meetings and sign up with the Hedgehog lacers and reaquaint myself with bobbin lace. One thing I did notice is that there was very few tatting related items. Bobbin Lace was really big there. I saw the most beautiful bobbins everywhere.

I bought 2 purple lacis shuttles (LOVE THEM) and have started a doily (Iris Niebach's Beatrice) using Omega 30 variegated purple. I really should be painting for my spring show but tatting has taken over lol. When I am done with the doily, I will post it.
