This is basically a copy and paste from my livejournal, have fun! =^_^=

Personal:
Monday:
Aaahhh, warm soup is good and wool socks are amazing!
Tuesday:
Bunch of library stuff and we found out one of the students changed the setting on one of the computers. It's one of things that we can't get off easy and has now changed the computer to the point where we have to use Ghost to get it back to where it was. What I really don't like is the kid acted shifty and then like it was all an accident. I'm sorry, some things you can accidently do, but this had five thoughtful steps to it, there's no way that was an accident. *sigh* On a really great note, Brendon and I had home made baked macaroni and cheese! Sooo yummy!
Wednesday
We basically just watched the Spiritual Warfare videos. We've been watching the videos one week and then discussion the next week because it gives us more time for questions and discussion. More talking for Brendon and I after church.
Notes from the study:
  1. I know I took some, but I can't find them. [sarcasm]Yes, I'm so organized![/sarcasm]

Thursday:
More book stuff in the library and lab stuff in the lab. I made a post about what Brendon and I were trying to figure out. Basically we would just like to lock down the desk top. I think we are going to have to go to our local library and ask them what they use. It was also a Sam's day so the book stuff in the library was minimal at best. We also go the new set up for the new computer in the balcony. It is verrrry nice.
Friday:
Dad and I sick *blah* so went got out of work early and went home and rested.
Saturday:
Sickness hit me harder, the soreness and acheness has started and I just had no energy. We did however finish up what we weren't able to get done Friday and Jon took me out and bought me pancakes at IHOP! *yays* Thank you so much! I will have to take him out for pancakes some day soon.
Sunday:
Ah, sickness full force. No energy, achy, sore, slight stomach queeziness {sp?} So layed around and tried to get some rest just sleeping on and off. I did have some energy once the night service started at church so I went to that. We are voting next week on a state amendment on marriage so they had a hand out showing how it's going to be worded and etc. so you know before you go in. This inspired me to try and find out what else we are voting on, because I would hate to get into the voting both, my first time voting on anything, and not knowing what I'm doing. Brendon finally decided on a candy drawer :p
Notes:
  • Three people were saved at the youth converence this weekend
  • We are supposed to stay unified to do the work of Christ, which is going and telling people about Him.
  • Unification breeds love and love, unification.
  • Humility does nto mean you put yourself down, it means that you are Christ like in your servant hood. You do for others without thanks, without a pat on the back or recognition. It's having consideration and respect for others.

Biblical:

A Call To Die by David Nasser:
pg. 103 para. 3
"Through the pages of the Bible, we understand what honors the Father and what breaks his heart. Then we realize our attitudes and actions are not in a vacuum; they are done in the very presence of the one who rescued us from hell. That realization gives us conviction to act--decisively and ruthlessly--on the truth. (See agian the importance of knowing the word!)"

Website:

Started on The Screen Savers fan site. Brendon has some great things he is going to add and we are still working on the background and where to host it. I'm using frames, so I can't go to topcities.com like I wanted to because they put banner adds on each page. So, it would screw with my design. So, right now it's looking like geocities. Should also be uploading some Alton Brown/Good Eats icons to my website.

Much Hope and Many Blessings! =^_^=

Monday:
While updating my blogs for last week I noticed that on Yahoo! 360 you can add blogs to RSS feeds. Verah spiffah. Man it's cold, but it's a good cold, not like the seep into every pour of your body cold, but I am still wearing a sweater =^_^=
Tuesday:
After giving our art teacher a bunch of yarn she ended up giving me a bunch of drawing pencils, a sketch pad and let me take home her male drawing manaquin. Which is amazing because I walked out of her room with art stuff that would have probably cost me about 25 dollars any other time. That also reminds me, I have to give her the rest of that yarn I found. Our youth pastor got a myspace and a picture with his beard *yays* Brendon let me take some pictures of him with his new Screensavers shirt! Yes, I said a Screensavers shirt, it even has the old url on the back. It was a snatch and grab on E-Bay.
Wednesday
Brendon and I talked for almost an hour and really it was about nothing, the only thing I can really remember is that he has been able to memorize the part in The Price is Right that I always tried to memorize but never got down and this game called curling. It looks neat but I will have to watch some of it before I get it really.
Notes from the study:
  1. Apparently, I don't have any.

Thursday:
Got a bunch of work done in the library. Finally got the picture of me that Brendon took the day we were taking pictures of his shirt, but haven't been able to put it up yet. Brendon brought me curling videos and TSS videos. Brendon, Dad and I all went to this little dinner and talent show that was going on to raise money for new playground equipment at the school. The food was good, but I only stuck around for a few of the talent shows thingies. I ate so much chocolate I'm surprised our bucket isn't empty. Had an idea while waiting for our food about making a Screen Savers fan site. I'm not sure though.
Friday:
Most of the kids were good and I didn't have to teach the 5th and 6th graders because they went on a field trip. I was supposed to print out some of their pictures but for some reason the printers wouldn't work. The internet didn't work either, with both of these going on {and the fact that I couldn't remember how to fix any of it} I got very annoyed.
Saturday:
Missed the party that I was supposed to go to and missed Cindy :( because I had to work. I usually have weekends off, but this weekend ended being a working one.
Sunday:
Bryan {our youth pastor} did the sermon this morning. It was good and I took a bunch of notes. The only thing about Bryan is that he can, at times, preach like C.S. Lewis writes. Present the same idea in different ways over and over. He doesn't go over board like Lewis does and the fact that he does this isn't a bad thing, but I just never noticed that until I took notes this Sunday. We also watched this movie called Time Changers. It was good and I hope to own it someday. It had all the classic time travel confusion in the movie, which is awesome and funny. I sat with Brendon while watching it and we both saw the 'Back to the Future' similarities that were there.
Notes:
  • Lifes Theme: It's not about you, it's about Christ.
  • God made a perfect creation, we messed it up, He fixed it again through Christs' death.
  • Ephesians 2:8 } For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
  • We are born with imperishable souls that long for/know there is something bigger than ourselves out there.
  • We will turn to anything, drinking, sex, drugs, other religion, to fill that void.
  • We are born flawed, with sin in our hearts and always looking for ways to sin more.
  • Christ knows we are flawed and loves you anyway, He puts so much worth on you and your life that He gave His life to bring you back to a relationship with Him.
  • Christ doesn't expect perfection, but growth, taking those steps in your life to grow that relationship to get closer with Him. This can include things such as cutting certain habits out of your life, not allowing things in your house/around you; basically following His bounderies.

Biblical:

A Call To Die by David Nasser:
pg. 103 para. 2
"The sins of our earthly nature (that is, all our sinful attitudes and behaviors) deserve the righteous condemnation of God Almighty. They aren't cute. They aren't funny. They aren't attractive. They stink in God's nostrils...and if we understand their destruction in our lives and to others, they will stink in ours too. If a rabid wolf came in your room right now, you wouldn't pet it. You woldn't study it. You wouldn't talk sweetly to it. No, you'd kill it because it can't be redeemed. It can only be killed. That's the ruthlessness Paul wants us to have with our lust and self-rightousness."

Website:

Rearranged the icon page some but still need to upload the DL.tv icons that I made. I'm also still designing that Screensavers fan-site in my head.

Alton Brown's cakes don't rise. They ascend. magnify
This entry is going to be a big lump this time becuase I can't remember when what happened, except a few things. My computer classes went well, the kids are starting to understand the rules. I drew a little comic but don't have it inked yet. That should happen some time next week. Brendon told me he got me something for Christmas but won't tell me what it is! He only gave me one clue and now I have to wait, which is driving me crazy. Kinda like him not telling me his middle name :p Had about three doughnuts and some orange juice, which was wonderful because I have been craving orange juice all this week. Talked with this guy named Cliff at our church. He seems pretty nice and we have a few similiar interests. I need to make more icons. I love doing that, I don't know what it is. I guess it's just because it's so simple and easy doesn't take much skill :p Oh, Brendon and I ended up walking around talking to each other again, but this time it was Wednesday and Friday. It's nice how we can just do that. Which also reminds me, I used the world "ya'll". *ack* I can't believe it! I'm turning more southern the longer I stay here. I think I can even hear the accent slipping out here and there. Tried to use my webcam Saturday but that didn't work too well. Yahoo! said the camera wasn't plugged in, how could I guess *stupid Yahoo!*. Trying to figure out what to teach 1st graders in computer class; so you parental types out there: What do you expect your kid to take away from computer class in the first grade? Does anybody have any tips for where to get info on this stuff?
On another note; I'm so glad it's fall. This is my favorite time of year. Snuggle weather! Yet, you can still go outside without having to bundle up. I really, really want some hot chocolate sitting around my house though. Our youth leader shaved his beard, all except what is called a "soul patch". While telling me this he proceeded to let out a little soul with his guitar and mic which was quit hilarious. I missed the sermon, but I know it was good. I need some cordorouy. Anybody else a cordorouy fan? I love that stuff. It's too bad it's seasonal. You know, they should have just a cordorouy store where you can buy cordorouy year round. You guys think that would fly? Sunday was awesome, had burger-rama and took The Lords Supper. I don't care how many times I do that, it's still special, still set apart when it comes to worship and remembrance for me. Helped Brendon with his website, took me about two hours to get it just like I wanted it. Then, being who I am, I started redesigning the whole thing in my head. Yeah, I'm a little off balance when it comes to website design/coding; I just love it :p Of course, I just hate templates. I went through all the extra crappy code those stupid template creators put in there and just go "ouch, my brain, it hurts".
Notes:
Wednesday:
  • 14 yr. old girl named Christina got saved!
  • The unity of the church is a witness to Christs' love.
  • Satan likes to sneak around and cover up the things he is doing or make it look like something else entirely. We should contrast that by living our lives openly or honestly; instead of being one thing to one person and another thing to another person.
  • Church members should cry, laugh, eat, encourage and discipline one another, just like any other family would.
Sunday:
  • Repent = metanoeo in the Greek, it means to to make a change.
  • Word Breakdown: meta = change, noeo = the mind
  • Repentance refers to a change of moral thought and reflection after moral deliquency. This includes changing your attitude twoard sin, forsaking it, and seeing it as God does.
  • You know you have reprented if there is a change in how you live your life. What you support and what you don't. What you say and what you don't.
  • Example: Butterfly. A butterfly changes from a worm to the butterfly over a period of time. We are the same way with our lives. We start as worms, Christ changes us over time and we become butterflies.

Monday:
It was just a long day. Which is weird because usually Monday aren't too bad.
Tuesday:
Had some fun in the library as usual.
Wednesday
We had the church and school business meeting. It went well and it was short so it didn't cut into our study time too much. Our music director fround the stash of candy that Brendon has :p
Notes from the study:
  1. God loves you no matter what.

Thursday:
We got in trouble because we were using Dianne's computer and we were just screwing around during lunch :p The seniors started selling hot dogs/chili dogs at lunch. I didn't get any because I brought my lunch already, but it sure smelled good! Checked out Kristines new car which has been officially named "Bubbles", which fits quite well with her cute personality.
Friday:
The computer classes weren't too bad. I did have to write one detention which I hopefully won't have to do again. Dianne bought my dad and I chili dogs! =^_^= with cheese! They lasted all of two minutes. :p On the subject of things disappearing quickly; the mouse is back -_- It came out just as I was checking my e'mail. Those things scare me when they just appear like that. Now I can't figure out where he went. We had Friday Night Light as usual and I was able to go to about the last 15 to 20 minutes of it. It was great and Brendon and I ended up walking around the sanctuary talking. Why exactly we ended up walking around I don't know. I think it was one of those we were following each other around things and then just stopped realizing we were just wandering. Ms. Tammi from the office also bought me a sage and lavender candle. I love lavender but I wasn't too sure about the sage part. It smelled good though, kinda like Old Spice, another smell I love.
Saturday:
Burned the candle and this thing is as good as a Yankee candle if you've ever had one of those. They are five dollars a peice so if you want one let me know. The guy has all kinds of scents but doesn't have a website so basically just let me know what you like and for five dollars I'll pick it up for you. On another note: RIP the mouse.
Sunday:
I went with Dianne to The Friends of the Library. Basically the library selling all there old books to individuals and smaller libraries. Then we walked around downtown for about an hour. I showed her the Godiva chocolate place that my dad showed me. I love down town. Oh! dad made chili! *yay*
Notes:
  • In Phillipians 1:27 the word conversation is literally translated to mean "behave as a citizen". We are to behave as citizens of Heaven though living here on Earth.
  • The example that my pastor used was that of a Roman Citizen. As a Roman citizen you were expected to represent the glory of Rome by using Roman justice, Roman honor, showing Roman mercy and loyalty, Roman obedience to law and loyalty to Rome above all else. As Christians this applies to us as well. Only we use Christian mercy; have loyalty and obedience to Christ, etc.
  • To be ashamed is to fear what other people would say about you/about what you do.
  • There are over 150,000 people aroundthe world who are executed or threatened with execution for being Christian and only being Christian.

Biblical:

A Call To Die by David Nasser:
pg. 102 para. 1
"When we become Christians, many wonderful things happen to us. We are forgiven, we have enternal life, we become God's children, and the Holy Spirit guides us. But we are still human. Very human. Even when we determine to live wholeheartedly for Christ, our sinful nature doesn't vanish. Some of us are confused about this. We think, "Shouldn't I struggle less with sin and selfishness as I get closer to God?" Well, yes and no. I believe we struggle with different sins as we grow in our faith. At first, the battle is over the outward sins like cursing, sexual immorality, gossip, violence, etc. After we walk wtih God and spend time with his people for a while those don't seem as attractive as they used to. Now we struggle with other sins, more under-the-surface sins like pride, greed, the lust for power and popularity, etc. We can mask those by carrying around a Bible and using Christian lingo, but some of us pridefully use our Christianity as a platform for success, pleasure, and approval."

I haven't really done anything with it. The next thing I want to do is put the icons that I make up on my website and rearrange the whole icon page.

Monday:
Talked with Angie and Cindy some. They were my girls in High School and I think it's great we can still talk. Colored the image that I am working on. It is taking forever because I want it to be just right. However, it doesn't look like it is going to be that way. I think I'm going to take some of advice from vege_chan and use myself as a model. Took some pictures of all the cat stuff I am going to be selling I'm going to offer it to some people local to see if they want it. If not it goes to the My Space account and then Live Journal and then E-Bay. I've been carrying this stuff around for too long while doing nothing with it, gotta get rid of it! Finally got some mouse traps! However they ahd to be tweeked because the little booger just ate th epantu butter right off the trap.
Tuesday:
What this day really boils down to is this: I got to try Olive Gardens' Never Ending Pasta Bowl. It was great! I at so much alfredo sauch it made my heart race and my face blush. I also saw Josh, game him a great big hug! I haven't seen him since I worked at Wendy's. He's still tall and he looked sharp in his uni for work. Brendon liked the lasagna I brought him and Tonly and I laughed over the 'White and Nerdy' Weird Al video. The mouse is still in my house, but, I found a way to keep out of my room so I can sleep.
Wednesday
Had Staff Affection and I was able to sue the spiffy camera to take pictures of some of the youth who came to eat along with our leadership in chefs hats. It was cool, not to mention, there was food! I didn't actually get to sit around and eat but ti was cool to wander around and take some pictures before it started.
Notes from the study:
  1. No church because of food

Thursday:
Busy day, went to Sam's, payed bills, baught some Pocky. My new favorite is chocolate Almond Crush! I bought it for the ladies in the office to help with the snack cravings on their diets.
Friday:
The moust is gone! *yay* Didn't get home in time to watch Cast Away but it was still a good day over all. Worked on my sketch and got it done.
Saturday:
Just sat around. Actually, I did some cleaning and watched some t.v.
Sunday:
Watched Cast Away and ate some good food.
Notes:
  • No notes, it was a good sermon, but nothing inspired me to take notes.

Biblical:

A Call To Die by David Nasser:
pg. 98 para. 1
Jim Elliot realized that it was not wise to get as close to sin as he could without actually sinning. The battle, he knew, was in teh desire to even reach in the direction of sin. A better reach is for the "nail of Calvary"---the nail of dying to selfish desires, the nail of obedience.
