Personal:
Monday:
While updating my blogs for last week I noticed that on Yahoo! 360 you can add blogs to RSS feeds. Verah spiffah. Man it's cold, but it's a good cold, not
like the seep into every pour of your body cold, but I am still wearing a sweater =^_^=
Tuesday:
After giving our art teacher a bunch of yarn she ended up giving me a bunch of drawing pencils, a sketch pad and let me take home her male drawing
manaquin. Which is amazing because I walked out of her room with art stuff that would have probably cost me about 25 dollars any other time. That also
reminds me, I have to give her the rest of that yarn I found. Our youth pastor got a myspace and a picture
with his beard *yays* Brendon let me
take some pictures of him with his new Screensavers shirt! Yes, I said a Screensavers shirt, it even has the old url on the back. It was a snatch and grab
on E-Bay.
Wednesday
Brendon and I talked for almost an hour and really it was about nothing, the only thing I can really remember is that he has been able to memorize the part
in The Price is Right that I always tried to memorize but never got down and this game called curling. It looks neat but I will have to watch some of it before
I get it really.
Notes from the study:
- Apparently, I don't have any.
Thursday:
Got a bunch of work done in the library. Finally got the picture of me that Brendon took the day we were taking pictures of his shirt, but haven't been able
to put it up yet. Brendon brought me curling videos and TSS videos. Brendon, Dad and I all went to this little dinner and talent show that was going on to
raise money for new playground equipment at the school. The food was good, but I only stuck around for a few of the talent shows thingies. I ate so much
chocolate I'm surprised our bucket isn't empty. Had an idea while waiting for our food about making a Screen Savers fan site. I'm not sure though.
Friday:
Most of the kids were good and I didn't have to teach the 5th and 6th graders because they went on a field trip. I was supposed to print out some of their
pictures but for some reason the printers wouldn't work. The internet didn't work either, with both of these going on {and the fact that I couldn't remember
how to fix any of it} I got very annoyed.
Saturday:
Missed the party that I was supposed to go to and missed Cindy :( because I had to work. I usually have weekends off, but this weekend ended being a
working one.
Sunday:
Bryan {our youth pastor} did the sermon this morning. It was good and I took a bunch of notes. The only thing about Bryan is that he can, at times, preach
like C.S. Lewis writes. Present the same idea in different ways over and over. He doesn't go over board like Lewis does and the fact that he does this isn't
a bad thing, but I just never noticed that until I took notes this Sunday. We also watched this movie called Time Changers. It was good and I hope to own
it someday. It had all the classic time travel confusion in the movie, which is awesome and funny. I sat with Brendon while watching it and we both saw
the 'Back to the Future' similarities that were there.
Notes:
- Lifes Theme: It's not about you, it's about Christ.
- God made a perfect creation, we messed it up, He fixed it again through Christs' death.
- Ephesians 2:8 } For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:
- We are born with imperishable souls that long for/know there is something bigger than ourselves out there.
- We will turn to anything, drinking, sex, drugs, other religion, to fill that void.
- We are born flawed, with sin in our hearts and always looking for ways to sin more.
- Christ knows we are flawed and loves you anyway, He puts so much worth on you and your life that He gave His life to bring you back to a relationship with Him.
- Christ doesn't expect perfection, but growth, taking those steps in your life to grow that relationship to get closer with Him. This can include things
such as cutting certain habits out of your life, not allowing things in your house/around you; basically following His bounderies.
Biblical:
A Call To Die by David Nasser:
pg. 103 para. 2
"The sins of our earthly nature (that is, all our sinful attitudes and behaviors) deserve the righteous condemnation of God Almighty. They aren't cute. They
aren't funny. They aren't attractive. They stink in God's nostrils...and if we understand their destruction in our lives and to others, they will stink in ours too.
If a rabid wolf came in your room right now, you wouldn't pet it. You woldn't study it. You wouldn't talk sweetly to it. No, you'd kill it because it can't be
redeemed. It can only be killed. That's the ruthlessness Paul wants us to have with our lust and self-rightousness."
Website:
Rearranged the icon page some but still need to upload the DL.tv icons that I made. I'm also still designing that Screensavers fan-site in my head.
