The Life and Times of T.Porch
Just returned from Montana Sunday night...always hard to come back to reality from such an incredible place. This was my 5th trip to Glacier National Park, my first in 1972 as a 5 year old kid. It was my fathers 41st trip to Two Medicine Lake (pictured above, with Sinopah Mtn in the background) over a span of the last 59 years. Pretty unbeleivable thinking that his first trip was when he was 5 or 6 years old as in 1947. We caught a good number of fish, Dad fished Two Medicine Lake and I fished the river between Upper and Lower Two Medicine and the Flathead River (On the Flathead I had great luck around Essex & Paola Creek). Weather was typical, sunny most of the time with afternoon temps in the 60's and 70's and one day of pouring rain. It did snow on us Saturday in the early morning with temps was in the low 30's overnight! As usual, I will anxiouly look forward to my next trip way up north!
One of the best novels I have read in years. This is truly a "can't put it down" book. It will cause you to look at people differently, it will cause you to think about the *human* side of what is going on in the middle east everyday that we are so blind to. It paints a vivid picture of how quickly things like goverments & lifestyles can change. This is a must read.

Saturday night, May 7...Game 7, First Round of the NBA palyoffs...Bahr, Boyd, Hurley and I caught a fantastic game at the American Airlines Center last night. The Mavs hung a 40 point victory (franchise record & 3rd biggest blowout in NBA palyoff history) on the Rockets in what was supposed to be a closer game as the previous 6 were single digit competitions. The AAC was buzzing with all the typical Dallas thirty thousand dollar millionaires, none the less the crowd was great and the Mavs put together an offensive and defensive clinic. The Rockets ended the first half within 13 but that was the last of thier push. Now we take on Phoenix (with leauge MVP Steve Nash) and it should prove to be a super series. The above picture says it all, while Yao & T McGrady had a good game none of the rest of the Rockets didnt show up.
