I found this on a hitchhiking sight, and just had to share it, and yes I used to be a hitchhiker!

Post subject: Traveling tips from Jesus.......

In the new testament, in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, most of what Jesus is "qouted" for saying, or rather what his disciples talked and wrote about the most in these books, is the instruction they received from Jesus on how to become Fishers of Men, or Sons of Man.
Jesus uses parables to teach them, so that the meanings will be hidden and remain secret to everyone except those who dilligently seek.

~~1: Don’t panic, don’t worry, I mean that, literally.
When Jesus was teaching his disciples on how to become fishers of men, he said to them;
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body and what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, yet God feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?”
“Which of you by worrying can add a foot to your height?”
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how beautiful God clothes them, and they neither toil nor spin, and yet I say to you, not one movie star in all of Hollywood is clothed as finely and beautifully as one of these.”
“Now, if God so clothes the grass of the field, which lasts for but a season, will he not much more clothe you? Oh you of little faith!”
“Therefore do not worry saying, what shall we eat? Or what shall we drink? Or what shall we wear?, for after all these things the Babylonians seek. God, the Heavenly Father, knows that you need these things.”
“But seek first the Kingdom of God (There are 2 kingdoms on earth, one is made by Satan and the demoniac, the other by God and the divine) and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it’s own things. Sufficient for the day is it’s own trouble.”

~~2: You cannot serve God and Money.
As Jesus said; “No one can serve two masters, He will either love God and hate money- or he will favor money and despise God.”
Likewise, you cannot work for 2 kingdoms, you either work for the Kingdom of God, or for the kingdom of man. Do not slave for money to store up in barns for, as mentioned in number 1, God will provide what is sufficient for the day.

~~3: The kingdom of God is like treasure hidden in a field, that a man found and hid, and then went and sold all that he had and buys the field.
Jesus counsels the rich young ruler:
“Good teacher, what should I do to inherit eternal life“, asked the rich young ruler.
“You know the commandments, do not murder, do not steal, do not commit adultery, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, love your neighbor as yourself.”
“Teacher, I have followed all these rules from my youth.”
Then Jesus, looking at him said, “There is one thing you lack: Go your way, sell everything you have and give it to the poor, then you will have treasure in heaven, then come and follow me.”
How hard it is for those attached to belongings and allured by riches to enter the Kingdom of God.
“Assuredly I say to ye dudes, there is no one who has left his, house, family or belongings for My sake, who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this lifetime, and in the age to come, eternal life.”

~~4: “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find.”
“For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds.”
“For what man is there, if his son asks for bread, will in return give him a stone?,
“Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? So if the fathers of this world, most of them being evil, know how to give good gifts to their children, how much more will God give good things to those who ask.”

~~5:When you pray, do not pray like the hypocrites, so at to be seen by men, but rather, when you pray, enter the wilderness, and when you are alone, pray to God in secret.
Do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think that they will be heard for their many words. God knows the things you have need of even before you ask, therefore pray like this:
My Father who is in heaven
Holy and sacred is Your name
Your kingdom come
Your will be done
On Earth, as it is in Heaven
Give me this day my daily bread
And forgive me my sins and trespasses,
As I forgive those who trespass against me
Lead me not into temptation and evil
But guide my feet on the path of perfection and righteousness
For Yours is the kingdom, Power and Glory Forever
Amen

“For if you forgive men of their trespasses/sins, God will also forgive you.”
“But if you do not forgive men their trespasses/sins, neither will God forgive you.”

~~6: “If two of you agree on Earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by God.”
“For where 2 or 3 are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”

~~7:“He who receives you receives Me, He who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.”
“He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophets reward, and he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous mans reward, and whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple shall by no means lose his reward.”

~~8: Foxes have holes, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head.

~~9: Jesus sends out 70 Disciples:
“The harvest is great, but the laborers are few, therefore, pray for God to send out laborers into His harvest.”
“Go your way, Behold, I send you out as lambs among wolves.”
“Carry neither money bag, knapsack, nor sandals, and greet no one along the road, but whatever house you are invited to, first say peace to this house, and if a Son of Peace is there, your peace will rest on it, if not it will return to you.”
“Whatever city you enter and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you, and heal the sick there, and say to them, the kingdom of God has come near to you. But, whatever city you enter that does not receive you, go into the cities streets and say; The very dust of your city which clings to me I wipe off against you. Nevertheless, know this, that the kingdom of God has come near to you.”
The 70 return to Jesus with great joy:
“Lord, even the Demons are subject to us in Your name.”
Jesus said to them:
“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.”
“Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
“Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
(The 70 go out with the instructions Jesus gave them and come back astounded how they have power over demons, whats a demon? There are two kinds of Beings, the Demoniac, and The Divine.)

~~10: Jesus and Peter asked for temple tax in Capernaum
“Who is it, Peter, that the kings and rulers of the earth tax? Their sons or strangers?”
Peter answered, “Strangers.”
Jesus replied, “Then the Sons are free,” “nevertheless, lest we offend them (tick them off) go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the first fish that comes up, and when you have opened it’s mouth you will find a piece of money, take that and give it to them for Me and You.”
(In a nutshell, Jesus is saying the Sons of Man don't have to pay taxes, they are free, but He doesnt want to get messed with by the tax collectors though, so he says to pay them. One can almost wonder if Jesus told Peter to go panhandle, a parable, catch a fish, Peter was now a fisher of man, thats what Jesus was teaching him to do, not for money, but to teach and help people.)

Entry for April 08, 2006 Week-End Update
Entry for April 08, 2006 Week-End Update magnify

These last few days, weeks have been really busy and gone by really fast. I have been on a journey of discovery, about myself and others,I actually feel as though these last few weeks have seen alot of growth and openness about who I am, and where I am going both in the Kingdom, and in my world!

These kinds of journeys are good, and urgently necassary for anyone who is serious about God in thier lives and serious about themselves and wanting to grow, mature into all God has for them, and at this point in my life I don't know why anyone would want to stay stagnant, it's very frustrating to think that nothing outside ourselves is budging , and until we realize it's us who needs to change and not others we will live a very frustrating existance, I am sick of that kind of life for me, and thus the journey of discovery, who am I, why do I react the way I do, and how can I better posture myself to respond differently, to be a blessing, instead of always looking for one???!!!

This touches on some of my earlier entries on the whole 3PG walk, and I hope these will be encouraging to others as they have been for me.

Thanks for checking in, have a good week-end!

Feels like it's been awhile since I spent any time telling you how I was, so here goes...

God is still working on my interpersonal skills, and living in community is the place to do that, I had a few spats with my fellow church mouse, and then last night we had a breakthrough, that was so great, you know? Like living in a church I honestly believe that not all our disagreements are our, put instead things we may pick up in the course of a day. Any way we are going to have daily debrief and pray together way more that we have been, I believe God will use this, for how sweet it is, when brothers dwell together in unity!!!

Have a meeting this morning with my pastor, and then I need to give my testimony at the drop in this morning.  Please pray for me huh?

That's all I got time for now, I am doing well, how are you? Oh yes this is us at a meeting on sunday, the Sanctuary House Of Prayer or the SHOP....I'm on the drums!!
