I have taken so much from the universe, its time to give back to the universe. The universe will see my great efforts and compensate me with tranquility and a fulfilling life. Reply
Ochun is the goddess of love, of money and indeed of happiness. She brings to us all the good things

However, you can only use a horseshoe that's actually been on a horse--and a found horseshoe works better than being given a used one by a blacksmith or a horse owner. Be sure to hang the horseshoe over the front door, prongs up. That way the luck won't "pour out."
According to legend, if you recite the phrase "Citrun Nueve" when starting a new project or when dressing in the morning you will have good luck.
To make your own lucky horseshoe talisman, purchase some red cloth, new Red Devil lye, and new salt. Wrap two horseshoes in the red cloth and hang one over the front door and one over the back door. The Red devil lye and salt should be buried at the doorsteps. In the early morning just before dawn, circle your home sprinkling a liquid that consists of your urine and a handlful of sugar and salt. (From "Hoodoo - Conjuration - Witchcraft - Rootwork," a 5-volume, 4766-page collection of folkloric material gathered by Harry Middleton Hyatt, primarily between 1935 and 1939).
By the Holy Trinity, Horseshoe, I baptize you in the name of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost. Give me good luck, health, and wealth. You went wandering in the woods, Lord James, among thorns and hidden rocks, and blinded your foes with your great power. Just as you shod your horse with this horseshoe that helped you escape from the battlefield with the great power that God has given you, I want this horseshoe to give me good luck, health, and wealth.
Jesus, I am remembering all these holy things that were truly accomplished.
I wish at this time that this magnet horseshoe, so powerful in itself, grants me these virtues and gifts. With this horseshoe I can do whatever I want. It will be easy for me to escape from places without anyone knowing or noticing, get riches and honors, and have all the people I want to love me. Free me from everything and save me from my enemies and any life-threatening situations that may occur. All this I believe as if I am seeing it through your incomparable virtues.

A talisman of San Martin Caballero can consist of his picture and/or a horseshoe.
San Martin Caballero, "Saint Martin the Horse-rider," is the one most frequently encountered in luck charms. Born in Hungary during the late Roman empire, he was pressed into service in the Roman army, where he became a centurion, One day, while riding his horse, he chanced upon a near-naked beggar and cut his cloak in half to give the poor man a covering. That night he had a dream in which the beggar appeared to him as Jesus, so he quit the army and became a monk in Italy. He was later promoted to the rank of Bishop of Tours (in France) but always lived a simple life and gave a great deal to charity. Thus San Martin is the Patron Saint of those who hope strangers will aid them.
In Mexico San Martin Caballero is especially popular among shop-keepers, who rely on the kindness of passing strangers for their livelihood, and among truck drivers, who see in his horsemanship a parallel to their own manner of earning a living. Because the horse he rides is associated with the lucky horseshoe, he is also a favourite saint among gamblers. In Cuba, some Santeros identify him with the orisha Ellegua, probably because the latter is associated with crossroads and hence with travel.

The horseshoe embodies energy of the warrior Orisha and gods of protection such as Ogun. Oguun is associated with metallurgy and metalsmithing. The horseshoe must be placed with cup shape facing upward to catch the good luck, otherwise you are simply catching and spilling away abundance. Metals such as a horseshoe pay tribute to African metalsmiths (which are respected as shamans) and to the venerable history of African American smiths, while adding an important layer of shielding and protection. So if you have a horseshoe in your Ogun pot make sure its facing upward.

The Horseshoe can be used to protective you from other witches, keep unfriendly spirits at a distance and protect you from the evil eye. The horseshoe is also known to protect your from fire and lightening. The horseshoe can also be used as an amulet to attract luck and money, and has magical protective powers.
You can add a small bunch of plastic grapes from the center of the horseshoe because the evil eye is thought to adversely affect male potency, female fertility, and the viability of babies; the grapes -- an ancient symbol of fruitfulness -- ensure that reproductive functions will be guarded.
The used horseshoe has the form of a vulva. In Buddhism, the symbol of the vulva represents metaphorically, as a lotus. The outer opening the sexual organ represents the petals of the lotus, while the vulva and the cervix are the heart of the flower. Thus representing purity and enlightenment.
Horseshoe also has the form of a crescent moon. There is good reason to suppose that the crescent form of the horseshoe links the symbol to pagan Moon goddesses of ancient Europe such as Artemis and Diana, and that the protection invoked is that of the goddess herself, or, more particularly, of her sacred vulva. As such, the horseshoe is related to other magically protective doorway-goddesses, such as the Irish sheela-na-gig, and to lunar protectresses such as the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is often shown standing on a crescent moon and placed within a vulval mandorla or vesica pisces. http://www.luckymojo.com/horseshoe.html
There are many ways to prepare a horseshoe. I'm sure many have their remedies. The horseshoe must be defiantly worn and it would be even more valuable if found instead of bought

How to hang a good luck Horseshoe
Many believe that to hang it with the ends pointing upwards is good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by, whereas to hang it with the ends pointing down, is bad luck as all the good luck will fall out. Others believe that no matter which way you hang the horseshoe, good luck will come.
According to this superstition, the ends-pointing-down display simply means that the good luck is able to flow out and surround the home. If the horseshoe is hung over a doorway, ends up will catch good luck and ends down will let the good luck spill over the door and stop evil from entering. Perhaps a combination of the two was used so that after a few days, when the horseshoe was filled with good luck, it would then need to be emptied so that residents could benefit from that luck and the process would be repeated until the end of time.
Horseshoes were also considered lucky because they were made by blacksmiths, which is also considered a very lucky trade. Because they worked with elemental fire and magical iron, they were thought to have special powers. It was believed that a blacksmith could heal the sick and if a couple was married by a blacksmith, their marriage would be a happy one. Their work with horses also brought them much power and prestige, not just because they made the lucky horseshoe but also because they were the keepers of the Horseman's Word (the basis for the movie, The Horse Whisperer.)
Horseshoes were originally made from iron, which may also account for the superstitions that are associated with this object. Iron was considered magical because it was able to withstand fire and was much stronger than other metals. The superstitions for iron are thought to originate in prehistoric times. It was used as a charm to ward off evil spirits.
Another aspect of the horseshoe that added to it's good luck was the fact that it was commonly held in place by seven iron nails. Since ancient times, the number seven was considered very important. Life was divided into seven ages; a rainbow has seven colors; astrology once held that seven planets made up the universe; there are seven deadly sins; a seventh child was thought to have special powers; there are seven days in a week; the moon changes from one phase to another every seven days; and a long-held belief states that the body goes through a radical change every seven years.
Re: Gypsy Magic The Horseshoe part II
Well now that I'm doing more searching here is more info on how to hang the horseshoe:
GOOD LUCK HORSESHOE AGAINST EVIL EYE
The horseshoe is considered very lucky and used to be hung in many homes to protect and attract good fortune for the family residing inside. As with many superstitions, there are contradictions to be found with the beliefs associated with the horseshoe. For instance, many believe that to hang it with the ends pointing upwards is good luck as it acts as a storage container of sorts for any good luck that happens to be floating by, whereas to hang it with the ends pointing down, is bad luck as all the good luck will fall out.

"THE CHANTS OF A GITANA"
What can one do if they have a "muerto oscuro" (DARK SPIRIT) on them but have no money
what so ever to take it off how can that person help them self?
If you are a person that is a spiritual sponge, you are an open channel to easily have a "muerto oscuro" attach themselves to you anywhere you go.
A "muerto oscuro" is like lice that jumps from head to head. In order for those lice to jump into another head it has to be close enough to bounce. If a lice is not caught on time it will multiply and grow as it feed on to your scalp and more than one treatment is needed to kill them, but if immediately caught then a simply cure will kill it before it gains strength and occupies a home without paying rent. Get my drift.
If you feel you caught a "muerto Oscuro" immediately begin doing spiritual baths or spiritual remedies that are simple. These spiritual things can "alejar el muerto Oscuro" until you can see a Spiritual advisor or get a reading. Who knows maybe you won't even have to go that far if you take care of it right away. The more you wait to remove a "Muerto Oscuro" the more it will become attach to you and the harder it will be to remove it because they will begin to materialize and become part of you. Believe me you don't want this to happen for many reasons.
One of the ways to minimize this from happening is to be very careful where you go especially for readings and spiritual houses. Forgive me and I hope no one gets me wrong, but if you are a person that goes to many ppl for readings and goes jumping from house to house, guess what, you are leaving a window of opportunity open for becoming infested with multitude of dark spirits to follow you.
The reason I say this is because lets say you go to someone for a reading and that person has " trabajo" manifesting and because you are a spiritual sponge that trabajo may follow you even if it's not meant for you. You can pick it up. And of course, no one is going to tell you they have a "trabajo" in the other room. Or what if the spiritual advisor just cleansed someone before you and they haven't disposed of the toxic materials they used yet and you come in and pass by it without knowing it, you can catch that "osorbo". People you have no idea what goes on in someone's home if you don't know they on a personal level.
It can happen. I have caught "muerto oscurios" just by visiting someone's home for non spiritual things. There are spiritual people that just by their presents they can clean you and your home and maybe they know it's happening and maybe they don't.
That is why and I get this many times, ppl will come to me just to talk about their problems and they will so much better afterwards. That is because as a healer, that is what you do. You heal them just by consoling them, listening to them and your words of advisement are cleansing them. But many times as a healer, you will have to do a spiritual bath or "desporjate" at the boveda because you are picking up their negative vibrations and you have to disopoes of them before they get you sick or even give you a simple headache.
So what are ways you can help prevent catching a "muerto oscurio"
For ex. There was a lot of drama at my job yesterday, and I came home with such a headache. I should of "desporjame" at the boveda but instead I took a PM Tylenol and went to sleep, big mistake. If I caught a neg. spirit I'm allowing it to gain power and become more attach to me. Remember when you sleep your spirit elevates from your body and may wonder off in the spiritual world leaving you vulnerable to spiritual attacks.
My opinion is the more light you have, the more you stand out and spirits are attracted to light even dark spirits only because they want to take what you have.
Many Blessings…..
Does anyone want to add to the list….please feel free to do so…..
