What I Think About It!

Voting for Obama - Not changing my mind!
Voting for Obama - Not changing my mind! magnify

Just so everyone knows, I made up my mind a long time ago who I was voting for. I backed Hillary Clinton all the way. When she didnt have the votes to win the nomination, I did as she asked and decided to back Barack Obama.

I am and always have been a Democrat. I know of no Republican who could get my vote at this time and especially not John McCain and Sarah Palin. Since Palin has joined the McCain campaign, it has gotten nastier and nastier. The things that she has been saying are disgusting. All of it is either outright lies or innuendo. She is no pitbull, but she is a b*tch. And a stupid one at that!

So if you are wanting to send me anything related to John McCain, don't bother. He has had absolutely nothing of interest to say in either debate so far; he has shown how disrespectful and nasty he can be. He doesn't have a clue how to fix anything concerned with the United States. If he had any great ideas, he would have focused on them instead of trying to discredit his opponent.

What Element Are You?
Your Element is Metal
Image
Your power colors: white, gold, and silver

Your energy: contracting

Your season: fall

You are persistent (and maybe even a little bit stubborn).
If you see something you want, you go for it.
You have a lot of strength, and it's difficult to get you down.
Very logical, you tend to analyze everything going on in your life.

They Follow You Everywhere

Wow. Evidently there are several Republicans who just search the net for Democratic views. I guess they are lonely. How very sad. You know, perhaps they are just following their herding instinct (you know, like cows, sheep, elephants). But I am really tired of them following me everywhere; sorry to say I don't have a herding instinct (donkey here, capable of independent thought). Personally, I never go off looking for Republican comments. Why? It's good you ask. Because I don't care what Republicans think. Actually, I don't credit most of them with the ability to think. And if one does, well, great for them. But I have no desire to hear them.

Now, this is what I think. You don't have to agree with me. You don't even have to comment on it. This is just my personal space to voice my opinion. If you want to comment on my comments, please feel free to. But I can assure you that anything that I post concerning the news or the world is soley my opinion and I have arrived at it by reading. Yes. Reading. And not just Democratic news and opinions, either.

To the person who was so rude - that was pathetic. You are pathetic. Evidently you don't know how to converse without being totally nasty. And yes, I have bred two wonderful little Democrats! I have three more (grandchildren) coming up. You should have seen them at school the last election with their Kerry signs on their election day. I was really proud of them. Even they can tell you why they are not Republicans. And can tell you what is wrong with the Bush administration. You know, your little offspring may not be cursed forever....he could grow up to realize what the world is really like and become a Democrat! Ever think of that? lol

Anyway, tirade yourself to death. I assure you it won't bother me a bit. Oh, and Bill, thanks for the advice.

Oh, and Bebe, yes, you are right. Poor thing she is, isn't she? No manners at all.

Talk at you later!

Just when I think I can't be stunned and shocked, Republicans prove me wrong!  Every damned time.

I do remember when George W. Bush was touting churches as a way to aid citizens of this country; his excuse for cutting programs that actually were helping US citizens.  So Katrina happened.  FEMA, ultimately led by George W. Bush, let the citizens of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana down.  I was shocked at the incompetency of our Federal  government.  Even I didn't think it was that bad.  I had absolutely no trust in the Red Cross in this country since 9-11; but FEMA has always been there.  Guess not anymore, huh?

Then today, I am shocked again!  Big time!  Through TRUTHOUT, I find that the American Red Cross and the Republicans are banding to have FEMA reimburse churches for the aid they have given to victims of the storms.  Excuse me?  Aren't churches tax-exempt?  Isn't CHARITY part of their creed?  Or should I say GREED?  And then there is the little matter of separation of church and state.

If this is the case, maybe churches can just be an arm of the Federal Government.  Or better yet, how about they pay taxes?  I have thought for years that they should pay taxes, anyway.  The little charity they dole out for the most part is insignificant.  And yet, they can pay millions and billions for new buildings.  For who?  God?  I don't think God gives a damn what kind of buildings they have.  I think He is more concerned with what is on the inside, in the hearts of the people in the building....and I believe He finds them seriously wanting.

I think the government should be more concerned about rebuilding housing and businesses for the victims of these storms; the churches can fend for themselves!  The very idea of reimbursing them makes me sick!

Oh, and no, I did not give money to the Red Cross.  I gave money to someone who took in a family of 7, and then 2 more.  And I gave money to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS).  Will they be getting reimbursed as well?  I think not.

Democrats, where the hell is your voice in all this?  Will you just sit on your thumbs and let this happen?  Too afraid to insult the churches and the religious right?  Wake up!  They aren't your friends, anyway,  and never will be.  Start speaking out for what you know is right and stop worrying about how you look.  It's what's in your heart that counts, too!

Bush Signs New Energy Bill.  He could have saved the ink.  This bill will do nothing to help Americans with rising fuel costs, nothing to help with America's dependence on foreign oil and very little to help Americans with alternate energy sources.    Mr. President gives Lame Duck a whole new meaning!  This bill also completely leaves out Detroit!  Fuel efficiency of American cars is not even addressed in this bill!

Wake up, people!  And conservatives?  What are you conserving?  Especially those of you who are not wealthy?  You need to learn that politics and religion don't mix!  And when it is forcibly mixed, you live in Iran and Iraq and all those other countries you so happily went to war with!   I just don't get it!

I have nightmares of the next election.  I will stay up all night only to find that Conservatives have voted for Dick "The Shadow" Cheney!   Gotta go pack my survival kit now!
