You want to see something different, then check out this blog. I leave no stone unturned, or thought undocumented.
1. This contest is a way for us all to help promote each other. We all have something that we are doing that we would like to promote. Squidoo is perfect for that. I am trying to promote my book. I am donating a portion of the proceeds from my book to a youth group in my community. View information about my book at the following links:
My Book At Lulu.comSecond Prize $30, a signed copy of my book and Classic TV Collection DVDs (9 Titles)
Third Prize $ 20 and screensavers depicting photos from the book.
4. Let me tell you a little more about Squidoo.com. At Squidoo the individual pages that members build are called lenses, and the person who builds them is called the lensmaster. Squidoo can be used in a variety of ways. You can use it to bring together all of the activities that you are involved in on the internet; see http://www.squidoo.com/linksnmore for an example of this use. You can use Squidoo to promote your blogs, eBay auctions, and many other things. Squidoo contains many modules that can help you to have a great lens up and running in no time. Each page that you build is then ranked based on Squidoo's own ranking system. This system ranks your page based on the number of hits the page receives, the amount of recommended links that are clicked on, your lens freshness, and several other factors. The other thing that is really interesting about Squidoo is that you can use it to earn a residual income for you or your favorite charity. The site is sponsored by Google ads, and as a lensmaster, you get part of the income generated by the site. Also because Squidoo contains many affiliate services from online shopping venues like eBay, and Amazon you can earn through them as well. All you have to do is place an affiliate module on your lens, and recommend content. If someone clicks on the link and buys something that you recommend, you get a percentage of the sale. Also because I am already a member, and I referred you to the site, if you make $15 through affiliate links you receive $5 more from Squidoo.
5. To enter the contest please send an email to linksnmore@sbcglobal.net with your intention to participate in the contest. Also make sure you spread the word about the contest to all your friends. Tell them to send me an email and join in on this contest. We want to get as many people involved as possible.
6. I will send you a referral link to Squidoo.com. Follow the link in the email that I send you and set up an account. Once you have created your account, you can set up a lens on any topic that you wish. Once you have created your lens, please email me the URL so that I will be able to track your ranking.
7. Finally, each entrant to the contest must place a link to one of my lenses somewhere on their lens. My URLs are as follows:
http://www.squidoo.com/linksnmore
http://www.squidoo.com/great-podcasts
http://www.squidoo.com/linksnmore-photography
http://www.squidoo.com/linksnmore-shopping
http://www.squidoo.com/linksnmore-infosources
8. I will spread some link love myself by developing a lens specifically for the contest, and list all the entrant's sites. I will also add each entrant's lens to my favorites on Squidoo.
9. The tag line of Squidoo is "Everyone is an expert at something". I say everyone is passionate about something. Come join the contest, and share your passion with the world.

I wrote this one a while back, but as I read through some of the stuff that I have written recently, this stuck out as something that fit my current emotional state.
MY TRAIN OF THOUGHT
As I sit here pondering this thing we call life
My thoughts move around in my head so fast that I can not grasp any one of them.
Then suddenly
BOOM!
My speeding train of thought jumps it tracks.
My brain lays in the mangled mass of train wreck that is my thoughts.
I try and shake off the confusion and the disorientation that I feel.
I think to myself.
What are all these thoughts for,
And why do I have them.
I gather my thoughts, and put my train back on a new track,
And again, my train starts racing at the speed of light
We human beings think because we live,
And some of us, like me, live to think.
I was not able to send this to all of my friends her via email because iof the restrictions on the length of the email, so I decided to post it here and then just send all of you the link.
This year I am going back to doing something that I used to do when I was in the Army. I think that the holiday season is a really good time for connecting with people that you have somewhat lost touch with over the year. Whenever I was away in the Army I would write letters to all my family and friends and let them know what has been going on in my life. I saw it as a way of reconnecting and letting everyone know what I was up to and that they could still contact me if they so desired. So here goes this year’s letter.
I have been up to a lot over the past year. In December of last year, Heidi and I separated and filed for divorce. She left California to go back to Germany for good in January of this year. The divorce was tough on me, but was also a relief in a way. I began to see things a little differently, and I began to realize what I was really destined to do with my life. I began to grow by leaps and bounds. The divorce was final (by CA law) in June, and I am still dealing with some of the mental baggage left over from the experience. Heidi and I also learned that because we were married in Germany the German government had to have the final say over the dissolution of our marriage. That paperwork is still pending.
After Heidi left I decided that the best thing for me to do would be to keep myself busy. So to that end, I reapplied myself to finishing the work for my final classes towards an associate’s degree in Applied Computer Science. My final project is almost complete, and I will have to take a final exam and I will be done. Then I can move on to the next step in the plan for my education, which is to get a few technical certifications under my belt. Then I will have the certifications, my associate’s degree, and my life experience evaluated in an attempt to obtain a bachelors degree in Information Systems Technology. It will all come together in time.
As you may know, I have also been working hard putting together a book of my photography for publication. This labor of love is in its near final stages, and I am hoping that my book will be available to the public on 15 December 06. I will certainly be informing you when the book is ready. I have posted several samples of my photography online, and I will be providing a link to all my websites at the end of this letter.
As the year draws to a close, I am also in a rush to put and end to some of the things that I have been working on during the year. My employer is also using year end funds to provide training which, while it is a good thing, takes up a lot of my time. This has forced me to readjust my timeline for some of the things that I wanted to accomplish.
I have a lot planned for the coming year as well. I plan to finally be free of all the mental and emotional baggage that I picked up during my marriage. I plan to attend an Artists’ Way seminar in an attempt to improve my writing and photography. I am not sure how this will play out, but it is something that I really want to do. I also plan on gathering material for at least two more photo book projects, and possibly developing some beginning photography classes.
Of course I plan to keep on blogging and sharing with all of my friends and family. I am an open book, come read my story.
