Day we gather to honor our fallen comrades these men and women gave their lives

In order to protect our nation, our values and our ideals for all of us

Here, we in uniform, and those close to us, we recognize the true significance

of this day for it is on this day that we honor those among us who

have made the ultimate sacrifice, who have given the last full measures

that freedom and justice should not succumb to tyranny and oppression,

We stand in solemn recognition today that their sacrifices were not in vain

To remember means to bring to mind again, almost to bring to life again,

As we remember some of the names on this memorial, we see the faces of friends

now gone, we recall their faithfulness and their courage,

we are reminded Again of what it truly means to be a Soldier.
