Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; Seek, and ye shall find; Knock, and it shall be open unto you

RECIPE FOR KINDNESS

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Fold two hands together

And express a dash of sorrow

Marinate it overnight

And work on it tomorrow.

Chop one grudge in tiny pieces

Add several cups of love

Along with a large size smile

Mix with the ingredients above.

Dissolve the hate within you,

By doing a good deed

Cut in and help your friend

If he should be in need.

Stir in laughter, love and kindness

From the heart it has to come,

Toss with genuine forgiveness

And give your neighbor some.

The amount of people served

Will depend on you,

It can serve the whole wide world,

If you really want it to.

DISCOVERING GOD'S POWER

Scripture: 1 Samuel 10:2-8

Verse for Today:  But the fruit of the spirit is love. joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control (Galations 5:22,23, NIV).

Prayer Thoughts: Give us the courage dear heavenly Father, to tap the Spirit's power today. As we yield to Him, may our whole lives be different. In the name of our everlasting Savior. Amen.

10 RULES FOR A BLESSED DAY
1. TODAY I WILL NOT STRIKE BACK . . .
If someone is rude, if someone is impatient, if someone is unkind, I
will not respond in a like manner.

2. TODAY I WILL ASK GOD TO BLESS MY 'ENEMY'
If I come across someone who treats me harshly or unfairly, I will
quietly ask God to bless that individual. I understand "enemy" could be
a family member, neighbor, co-worker or stranger.

3. TODAY I WILL BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT I SAY . . .
I will carefully choose and guard my words being certain that I do not
     spread gossip.

4. TODAY I WILL GO THE EXTRA MILE . . .
I will find ways to help share the burden of another person.

5. TODAY I WILL FORGIVE . . .
I will forgive any hurts or injuries that come my way.

6. TODAY I WILL DO SOMETHING KIND FOR SOMEONE, (BUT I WILL DO IT IN
     SECRET . . . )
I will reach out anonymously and bless the life of another.

7. TODAY I WILL TREAT OTHERS THE WAY I WISH TO BE TREATED . . .
I will practice the golden rule. "Do Unto others as I would have them do
unto me"- with EVERYONE I encounter.

8. TODAY I WILL RAISE THE SPIRITS OF SOMEONE WHO IS DISCOURAGED . . .
My smile, my words, my _expression of support, can make the difference to
someone who is wrestling with life.

9. TODAY I WILL NURTURE MY BODY . . .
I will eat less . . . I will eat only healthy foods. I will thank God
     for my body.

10. TODAY I WILL GROW SPIRITUALLY . . .
I will spend a little more time in prayer today. I will begin reading
something spiritual or inspirational; I will find a quiet place (at some
point during this day) and listen to God's voice.

Luke 10:27
He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love
your neighbor as yourself.'"

Luke 10:27
We learn three principles about loving our neighbor: (1) lack of love is
often easy to justify, even though it is never right; (2) our neighbor
is anyone of any race, creed, or social background who is in need; and
(3) love means acting to meet the person's needs.
Wherever you live, there are needy people close by. There is no good
reason for refusing to help.

Remember, today is a gift from God so treat it preciously

The "Our Father" Prayer
<>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <>< <><

THE "OUR FATHER" PRAYER:
Do I Really Mean What I Pray?

Examine how well you live what you pray as you meditate on the
following:

I cannot say OUR if I keep my faith only to myself and never share it
with others.

I cannot say FATHER if I do not trust in His loving and complete
concern for me, forgetting that He always answers prayers how and when
He knows is best.

I cannot say WHO ART IN HEAVEN if I am so attached to the ways of this
world that I neglect to seek God first in everything.

I cannot say HALLOWED BE THY NAME if I am unwilling to let His
holiness penetrate my life and help me grow in my own holiness.

I cannot say THY KINGDOM COME if I am not using my life to bring His
love into the world.

I cannot say THY WILL BE DONE if I live by my own ideas of morality or
choose to follow the world's standards.

I cannot say ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN if I am not devoting my life
to serving Him here on earth.

I cannot say GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD if I am not willing to
be generous with whatever God gives me.

I cannot say FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES if I don't want to put forth
enough effort to change.

I cannot say AS WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US if I still
hold a grudge, if I'm still angry, or if I still insist that other
people change.

I cannot say LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION if I deliberately or
knowingly place myself in a position to be tempted.

I cannot say DELIVER US FROM EVIL if I'm not actively fighting against
evil through deeds of love and service for everyone in my life,
especially those who cause problems.

Dancing With God

When I meditated on the word
Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance"
at the end of the word.

I remember reading

that doing God's will
is a lot like dancing.
When two people
try to lead,
nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow
with the music,
and everything is quite

uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that,
and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin

to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues,

perhaps with a nudge
to the back
or by pressing Lightly

in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body,

moving beautifully.
The dance takes
surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness

from one person
and gentle guidance

and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word
"Guidance".
When I saw "G:

I thought of God,
followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head,

I became willing to trust
that I would get

guidance about my life.
Once again,

I became willing
to let God lead.

My prayer for you today

is that God's blessings
and mercies be upon you

on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God

as God abide in you.
Dance together with God,
trusting God to lead
and to guide you through

each season of your life.

If God has done anything

for you in your life,
please share this message

with someone else,
for prayer is one of

the best gifts
we can receive.
There is no cost

but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray

for one another.
And I Hope

You Dance!!!!!!!!
