The babies are almost a year. How did this happen its been a blink of an eye. Above is a picture of their new favorite past time, standing and looking out the window. They love screaming dad when they see his car pull in the driveway its too cute. Happy almost birthday babies.
Fun announcement.... I have turned in my final manuscript for my book that myself and denise have been working on (she is a writer for people and kntv). In my mind its already a success. I wanted to have a true account of my experience getting pregnant, having a miscarriage, fertility treatments, sextuplet pregnany, the joy and sorrow of my delivery and life with my 3 special babies for myself and for Bruno, Santino and Lucia. Im so happy with the way it turned out. Its with publishers right now, hopefully i will hear back soon. Wish me luck :).
Hope everyone is well.
The kiddies have graduated into the regular bath tub. thanks to the whites we were using a so cute blues clues inflatable tub (after they outgrew the infant bath we were using first)which that they no longer fit into. :(( they are growing so fast.
some highlights:
they eat tons of food. they love grilled cheese, ham, cheese, yogurt, peaches and KFC but mom and dads bbq the most and moms chocolate chip pancakes even more.
they play with eachother, sonny entertains bru and luci while they are supposed to be napping or going to bed. he plays peek a boo and starts laughing contests
they are on the GO moving quickly throughout the house its very hard to catch them
they love being outside, they love the pool, they love the dogs and they love us and we love them.
i cant believe they will 1 yr on sept. 12. time has really truly gone by so fast.
This last weekend Brian and I were able to get out and watch one of our favorite bands Stone Temple Pilots. They played at the Greek Theater and it was just an amazing time. Excellent showmanship and they played all but one of my favortie songs. I listened to them and alice in chains a lot while going through fertility treatment so it was a trip down memory lane and a lot of reflecting under the stars during the show. Brian and i hadnt been there since one of our very first dates when we say LIVE and Counting crows. it was amazing and to top it off we had the best parking deal ever - parking at the frat house and free beer for 30 bucks! we also got to see the very famous tree sitters, I was amazed by the protection barrier around them and determination to stick it out to the end. We followed up the night out with our friends to celebrate kevins birthday at santana row, we missed last call but ended up at their after party at their house. we didnt get home until nearly 3am. its been a very long time since we have done that and we are so grateful our nanny was able to provide us with a night out.
Sat and sunday we spent at the lodge swimming (we are new members!) and had our first sunday family breakfast which we are hoping to continue as a weekly family tradition. it was so much fun to get out and just have time together as a family outside the house and be ina very family friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was great, swimming was amazing and the babies did so well. I lathered the babies in sunscreen and myself in tanning lotion. i mentioned to brian to lather up but didnt check to see if he did....... sunday i reminded him to do the same and i mentioned both nights he didnt look so well and asked if he wanted met put aloe vera from my plant in my garden on him. he said no, it was ok. he felt a little burned but felt like it was past the treatment stage......
Monday night brian stayed up all night suffering over a very bad burn , he was moaning and in agony, couldnt sleep and was basically in the worst pain i have ever seen in him physically. once i saw that he had difficulty breathing and couldnt stand i called an ambulance. he spent two hours in the er and diagnosed with 2nd degree burns, then injected with pain meds and given pain medicatin to take home. they called a cab and he came home. Meanwhile i was home caring for the babies , they were awake when the ambulance AND firetruck came to get brian. he will see a dermatologist friday to seek further treatment and i am so looking forward to sleeping- something i havent done since sunday.:P
Hope you are all doing well.
pic of us friday night on our way back to the frat house in front of tree sitters.
i rarely if ever post negative posts. but this must be done.
yesterday started out with waking up and feeling so yucky, the babies, brian and i have been battling what we thought was bad air quality nasal issues but quickly took a turn for the worse. when i got to work i had the worst coughing spasms and felt like a shmuck for possibly infecting others. i called my dr. who is always booked now - i am now looking for a new one- my computer set up at work still wasnt done which is ok - its just frustrating to be working soley off a laptop its so difficult. then i got called in for an opening at the drs. office which turned out to be a 3 hr wait, then found out i was extremely contagious and had to be put on some hard core anibiotics, when i got to the pharmacy i dropped the prescription and was told that they were out to lunch for an hour. so i decided to do some light grocery shopping and wait. still no return so i went to walgreens to pick up brian and the babies prescriptions (dont ask why we did two diff pharmacies)and while i was in the turning lane a women decided to go into the furthest turnng lane (where i was) but she didnt see me and kept turning while our cars collided screatching and making loud noises everyone looked but her . she finally realized what she did and i motioned to her to uturn and meet me in the closest parking lot , she aknowledged and waved that she would and i turned in and she kept GOING and left the scene!!! i called the police and there was nothing anyone could do i filed a report over the phone. then i went to get the prescriptions luckily i was in the same parking lot but unluckily 40 min passed and groceries were still in the car. then the pharmacist tells me she wont release brians meds to me and that the babies stuff wassnt ready yet - 24 hrs later its still not ready? so i had to wait another 20 min. then i went back to safeway to get mine got the slowest person helping me and when i finally got home i broke down and cried uncontrollably for about 20 min. the babysitter looked horrified brian looked like he was afraid of my mental state. he cracked one silly joke and i started laughing hysterically then i realized i was going to be ok. oh and did i fail to mention every single light i got to just turned red and caused a 3 min wait every intersection.... UGH
attached is a pic of the babies - they always make my day better!
