just some basic thoughts and inner emotions from time to time.

Reflecting over 2008

As the year closes, I would like to first start by thanking all of the friends which have remained in my life and on the pages here at yahoo messenger and yahoo 360 for doing so. You all mean alot to me whether we are close friends or aquaintence-type friends. As I reflect on the year that's now drawing to a close, 2008 held a lot of twists and turns along the way and at times, wasn't very kind. I deeply cherish and remember the friends which, through sudden death, I have lost. Kip Canupp on the afternoon of April 23, 2008 and also Chris Poulos aka "Kriss Vicious" on the morning of April 26, 2008 only 2½ days apart. Some of you really helped me attempt to deal with that in one way or another. Though I'll never get over their sudden losses and what had happened to them. Life's not the same without them and they'll be missed and forever remembered every day of my life. Never take anything for granted, for no one is promised tomorrow. To the new friends I've made here at yahoo 360 and/or messenger, you are all very appreciated and will never be taken for granted. Some of you, I've shared alot of laughs with already and the ones with me from the very beginning, thank you for staying aboard. For all of you this past year (2008) that took time to vote for the poems I gave links to, a humungus thank you goes to each of you as well. You know who you are! The concert life was pretty good for me this year including several great moments with my good friends Godz -n- Gunz at their shows in 2008. Those were really very awesome rockin' moments and those shows left me with some cool memories as well that wouldn't ever be traded for the world. To everyone on my friends' list who takes time to read this, I hope 2009 brings you everything you wish for and I only wish happy things for all of you. Rock on and I'll catch ya on the flipside of metal.

Being today is a sad day in rock and metal history, I hope that everyone will take a moment or two out of their busy schedules to remember a legend of the metal community. Darrell Abbott and Vinnie Abbott have paved the way, inspired us all, and left footprints in the music world for many to follow. I am on a site called find a grave dot com and if anyone reading this would like, I can leave a little message and flower on the site of your choice from you to Darrell. May we never forget and keep him in our thoughts today and always. If anyone wants me to leave something for you, e-mail me and let me know what kind of flower, what name you’d like to use, and what you would like to say and it will be done.

WE WILL REMEMBER!!!!!!

Ahh, here we go again...the snow and cold has arrived here in Indiana and to be honest, I'm hating it and wanted Spring back and Summer to again arrive. Lotz has happened lately as I've been getting ready for the Thanksgiving holiday and been out supporting local music as much as possible. Laughing Godz-n-Gunz rocked again last weekend and will tonight as well though this is a show I'm regretfully going to have to miss out on, I'll be rockin' with them next week in Hobart, Indiana again. I know this is short, but there's a few things I need to do so until next time....rock on my friends and keep the horns up!

Hey Friends ~

I hope that everyone will take time out to remember fallen Savatage guitarist Criss Oliva as it dawns another year (october 17th) of his loss. Late, late tonight/predawn hours tomorrow (3:30 am florida time) he'll be dead 15 years. His crowds will never be gone as the orchestra still plays.

On a positive note, Saturday, I will again be out supporting local music. My friends Godz - n- Gunz will be playing in Valparaiso, Indiana and with another friend who's coming along with me, I will be there. Health wise, things are shaping up slowly but surely too so I've been trying to come on here at yahoo 360 more often. Talk to everyone soon...take care until next time and never quit throwing them horns up and rockin'!

Current Update

I haven't done a blog for awhile so I figured it is time. First and foremost, to all that have been friends with me for awhile now and have really been true friends, I just want to extend my appreciation to each one of you. 2008 hasn't been so kind to me in the last few months. I'm getting by okay and things could be better and they could be worse. Rather then to dwell on the negative however, I'm choosing to just dwell on all things that have been positive. Poetry has been very kind to me this year and for all my friends who took a minute of their time to vote on one just a few months back, (you know who you are). You don't know what that meant and I sincerely want to thank each one of you. It never brought any money my way or prizes, but the poem also couldn't and wouldn't have gotten the success or the recognition it received had it not been for those friends of mine that DID take a minute of their time to cast their vote. Not only were new friends made this year, but this Summer also brought to fruition some really cool shows with my band friends Godz-n-Gunz as well. I'm still continuing to go see Godz-n-Gunz play every chance possible and later this year, I will be in attendance for the Trans Siberian Orchestra performance in mid-December in Chicago, Illinois. This year has brought the loss of two friends through death in just 3 days. Medical health problems still continue to get in the way as well, but 2008, as I have stated, has brought some positive stuff in its midst as well. Maybe as 2008 closes and 2009 begins to take us into another 12 months, 2009 will bring nothing but positive things not only my way but positive things for all the friends I love and hold dearly as well. Rock on.
