Creedite Santa Eulalia, Chihuahua, Mexico
Just a brief visit to my blog before we finish our last 2 shows of the year. I will try to update regularly in January so you can see the minerals we will be taking to Tucson.
This creedite, very nice indeed, was in the lot of minerals we just purchased. We bought the storehouse of Consie and Dalton Prince aka Collector's Choice of Houston, Texas. Consie was a mineral collector and they both began buying and selling minerals in the 80's. Dalton made famous "geode cracking" at club shows throughout the US. He was quite the showman and dazzled audiences for years with his wonderful geodes. Meanwhile Consie provided beautiful mineral specimens to the collecting community. They also had a small yet wonderful shop in Houston.
They traveled extensively through Mexico buying minerals direct from the mine. They also purchased quite a bit of Elmwood directly from the mine. Dalton field collected with the Coon Creek Association in Arkansas - a group of advanced field collectors and AVID.
More about the Prince's later. The storehouse contained over 3000 flats of minerals many never unwrapped. In the upcoming years John and I will be cleaning these minerals and bringing them to market for your enjoyment. I will try to preview some of them here as time allows. You are going to enjoy this.
Happy Holidays
John preparing for the East Coast Show
This is our main store room which houses only the retail stock. The wholesale stock is stored in another room as are the minerals which have not been prepared for sale yet. We have enough minerals to forget some and surprise ourselves when prepping for the show.
We can always take on more, so if you ever want to sell your collection - all or part - we could make a fair and reasonable cash offer.
