I connected 2 days ago. I mean, I really connected.  I was lying on the beach at Half Moon Bay (wonderful name!) meditating while listening to the Pacific surf.  Talk about epiphanies!  Beforehand, I was ready to hang-up this travel nursing stuff and head back to Indiana.

I literally heard these words in my head: “this is your home.”  After a few minutes of enjoying the moment, I sat up and looked at the sea. The seagulls and pelicans were searching for food and playing.  The sand pipers were running into the surf to search for food and running back toward the shore as the water chased them.  The sea breeze was delicately singing in my ears as it tousled my hair.  The sun warmed me with a wonderful healing energy. And the beautiful coastline…wow, the coastline of towering cliffs and mountains!  How can anyone say there is no God?

This is my home?  What does this mean?  I don’t take this literally. What this means to me is that I have a home wherever I go. But, I’ve always wanted to live in an area that has both the ocean and the mountains. The west coast has this. Am I being drawn to move here?  Not necessarily. Further traveling is in the cards for me. I now know this for sure.

Yesterday, Sam and I went to the Palo Alto Foothills Park.  There were 1400 acres of breathtaking experiences. For instance, many deer and I studied each other with a mutual respect for our spirits.  I actually saw eagles in flight! I can’t describe the awe I had, as I’ve always wanted to watch eagles in flight, but only have seen them in flight on tv.   We watched a bobcat cross the road. He stopped and looked at us as if to say, “we are one in spirit,” then he walked away.  But, the most amazing part of the park was the walk on the panoramic vista, in which you could literally see for 40 miles in each direction. The bay, San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, Stanford University….on and on.  On top of this, yet another eagle soared across the foothills.

So, the weak spirit in me is strong again, ready to move onward. Ready to embrace the lessons that lie ahead.

Merry Meet All!

So sorry about the lengthy break from posting. Hope all my friends are doing well!

In case you didn't know, in August I became a traveling nurse!  It's an awesome position where I choose where I want to work, sign a 13 week contract, and move. The nursing company then finds me & my hubby a one bedroom apartment, pays our moving expenses, and pays our rent & utilities minus cable tv & the phone. I make great money and get free insurance!

Our first stop was in California, about 30 miles south of San Francisco. I work for one of the top 15 hospitals in the country, who has asked me to extend my contract. I have chosen not to extend my contract, as I really want to travel again, perhaps outside of LA, or to Cedars-Sinai in LA (hospital to the stars!), or to Arizona (Phoenix or Tuscon.)  Wherever I decide, I will be moving again on November 11th. I'm so excited! So is my hubby, who has become a man of leisure!  We travel with our kitty Shaman, who loves it because we put him on a harness & leash so he is free to roam our balcony. Shaman also loves jumping in the windows to watch the squirrels play in the trees. They also love to taunt Shaman! Our apartment has gorgeous grounds with lots of flowers, shrubs, and trees!

We are enjoying trips to San Francisco, the beach, and other awesome destinations.  Last weekend, we camped in Yosemite National Park. It was soooo breathtaking!

I miss our home in Indy, and look forward to flying back for the Christmas holiday.

  Love you all!

I am sooooo wanting spring to arrive!  I'm getting cabin fever here!  I can't wait to dance under the moon with the fairies and drum near the bonfire on my djembe.  Ahhhh...memories of dancing around the bonfire last summer!  Beltaine at Lothlorien is May 5th. It can't come soon enough!
