This is a blog of my thoughts and feelings and any news.

No win no fee?
We seem to live in an age where "if there's blame, there's a claim" and I find myself in the position of being able to attribute blame to an injury I suffered today.

We have had some pretty dire weather recently - gales blowing through South Wales, almost horizontal rain at times and water water everywhere. One of our local shopping arcades becomes akin to an ice rink during this weather as people walk through  along the tiled floor dragging the rain in from outside. Walking through this arcade today, very much in male clothing and shoes, I slipped and crashed to the floor. Although I don't remember the fall, from the mark on the palm of my hand,  I must have instinctively put my left arm out to brace myself. As I'm not a slim person, my left arm lost that particular fight and buckled underneath my weight. I was helped by local people and helped into a nearby shop. In a lot of pain and feeling quite sick after the incident, an ambulance was called for me and was taken to my local A&E.

After a couple of x-rays and doctors going through the usual "Does this hurt? Does this hurt? What about here?" "AAAAAAAAAAAAAARGHHHHHH! Yes thanks it does...", I've been told I've fractured my arm near the elbow.

I've often thought I'd fall in this shopping arcade as my shoes have got the sort of sole that doesn't like drying conditions. However after asking about, I find that I'm not the only victim of this particular shopping arcade (someone else apparently also fell today before me - although they only damaged their pride)... so it can't just be my shoes right?

The general concensus seems to be to make a claim. Contact Ambulance Chasers Direct. But my main aim is not to get cash out of this (admittedly that would be quite nice though), but to get this shopping arcade resurfaced. As a 31 year-old, erm, male, I fractured my arm. What about someone drawing their pension? Or someone on crutches? Those rubber feet don't seem great in the wet.
Should I claim?
