The Senator Alvaro Araujo - Brother of Colombia's Foreign Minister María Consuelo Araujo - was arrested last Thursday in Andino Shopping Center. This arrest reflects the penetration of paramilitary power into Uribe's closest circles.
Araujo is part of the investigation because evidence against some politicians was found in the laptop belonging to a Senior paramilitary known as "Jorge 40". Evidence shows that Araujo maintains links with paramilitary leftwing rebel groups.
