Coming up with a name for my third blog made me wonder "What am I thinking?" So I'm going with that.
I almost picked this picture to be my avatar. The flash was too close and then I Photoshopped it to have more contrast. It was cyberpunkish enough for me. But I'll just put it here for now.
All the avatars I have online, scattered here and there, are being updated with the picture taken today. Bushyaib, my third born 32 year old son, took my picture, sans make up, sans updated hair dye, sans white of the eye. When I smile big my eyes become black crescent moons. Can blindfold me with dental floss with them eyes. Anyway a more truthful representation of what I look like is what was the goal of today and by George, I think we've got it.

This is what I think of when someone says "I'll love you forever." How about 5,000 years in an embrace? I told my husband that this is romantic to me. He said, "You're twisted, but that's your charm." We are suited to each other.
Valentine's day is a day where people are full of expectations, often unvoiced, which lead to disappointment. Let's turn this around. Instead of thinking of what you want for Valentine's day, think of what love you can give to another. Are there lonely elders living near you? When was the last time someone told them that they were loved? Love is something that when given only grows. It's not something that you'll ever run out of if you give love without expectation.
The trick of it all is to start loving yourself, warts and all.
