Happy Holidays! I know, I know, you thought I dropped off the face of the earth. Well I haven't. With Matthew gone to college, I have to do all the driving now. Back and forth to swim team practice of swim meets on the weekends. No rest for me.
Matthew is doing great at Butler University. He is home for break and goes back in two weeks. He is going to join a fraternity. Not sure which one though.
Emily is a freshman at Rosary High School. It is an all girls-Catholic school. She was on the swim team this fall. She did great and will make the varsity next year. Now she has to start studying more.
Andrew is in 6th grade and doing very well. He is also on a swim team. He is making great strides for his age group. But he is like his sister and has to work for his grades. (Studying came natural for Matthew)
I am in my 4th year of teaching and still enjoy it. The kids aren't getting any smarter which is sad. They still don't like to read or know how to do simple math such as multiplication or division.
I will post some current picture of us as soon as I download them from the camera. I hope to hear from you all soon.

A week from today all teachers have to report for meetings and to get their rooms ready. The little darlings come to school on the 21st. Where did the summer go? I was so busy this summer being "Dadstaxi" that I wasn't able to really enjoy it.
I was able to get to see some family and friends which is always nice. And Helen and I got away for two days in Napa. That was very nice. (Too bad the airlines were involved. That's another story!)
Helen and Andrew are taking Matthew to Butler on the 23rd to move him into his dorm. Emily had her first mixer for Rosary High School on that Saturday and from what we were told, it's important to make the first dance. I am taking part in the swim/bike/run race that I did last year. Everything came down to that weekend. I had a talk with Matt and I even told him that I would skip the race but he wants me to do it. He will be home Labor Day. The school is only about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs away.
Well, I'm off to run and bike so I hope to chat online with many of you.
