Home Based Business Opportunities Full Post View | List View

This is for people who want to change their lives and make a sufficient amount of income from home. These are not jobs!

Home Based Businesses Opportunities for online and off line businesses.

I've seen a lot of different questions on Yahoo asking for home based business Opportunities. I got together with some people and decided to write a blog for others to share their home based business opportunities and their web sites for people to take a look at. These will all be "home based business opportunities" Business's that people can get involved in either on a part time or full time bases. Business Opportunities for people who want to stay at home, have their own business and make a sufficient amount of income. This blog is not for "Survey's" or other things like "jobs"where your working for someone else making minimum wage. This blog is solely for people looking for a good income opportunity to really work from home and make a sufficient amount of income.

A few things that you should take a look at before getting involved in any company.

1. How long have they been business? If it's under five years, there is a risk factor. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't get involved. It just means theirs a higher risk of this business succeeding.

2. Does the company have a license? You can check with the BBB and see if they're registered with them. If they are, then you know they are a legitament company. But just because a company is not registered with the BBB, does not mean that it's not legitament. Here's a secret that I learned about the BBB. It's not a governement organization. It was basically designed for consumers, employees and even Independent Representatives to be able to go and it being another source for them to vent their frusterations. It really doesn't show the integrity of a company, their business practice or anything. Each business that's a member of the BBB is pretty much subjected to consumers, employees as well as I.R's to use as an attack because they didn't get what they wanted, things didn't go the way they wanted, so they make reports. After serious investigations and talking to members, employees, as well as directors of the BBB, majority of the claims made are false and ridiculouse. majority of the people think if too many complaints filed on a company, the company will no longer be in business. This is false, but people form "tag" teams and file mulitple complaints because they're angry with someone or something that didn't suit their needs. Now under guidelines the BBB has to post reports regardless if they're false or not. So when looking into buying a product, service, starting a business or even going to work for a company, this isn't the source to base your judgement on. It's all hear say based on someone trying to make a stink because they didn't get what they wanted. Which is usually something insane and not possible. I've even seen quite a few reports that no company could have any control of and it wasn't even their company. A lady made a claim, but put the claim on the wrong company. A company that had nothing to do with the accusation at all. That was funny! But it's a claim so the BBB had to post it. You got to laugh at that one and feel sorry for the company that got filed on.

3. Take a look at the companies compensation plan. If your satisfied with it, then there is nothing wrong with it. You just need to follow the plan designed to acheive the income levels for the compensation plan. Some businesses are designed for solely customer aquisition based, (no MLM plan) while other businesses have a design for both recruitment and customer aquistion based. It's funny because many people refer companies to a MLM or a pyramid scheme without looking into the entire documentation of how the business model is. I laugh at so many misconceptions I've heard over the years with Pyramid accusations, MLM acusations on a variety of different companies. Even companies that are claiming not to be involved in an MLM scheme. Let's face it, where do you you work now? Is it for a small business owner, how about a large corporation? Unless your jobless, guess what, your part of an MLM scheme. Here's why: The American business model is build the same way! Welcome to Corporate America! Get a peice of paper out. Take any corporation or small business, let's use a corporation as an example. On the top of your paper, draw a circle. This circle represents the Owner or partnership owners, Then write two circles under that (President/ CEO) and the Vice President. Write a few more circles under that and you have corporate management positions. A few circles under that and you have store managers, a few circles under that and you have store department managers, a few circles under that and you have sales reps. Each level on this pyramid scale is a different level of income. The bottom people doing all the dirty work so that the position above them gets paid so that the position above them gets paid and so on and so on. What people don't realize that but unless it's a one man show no hired help, no independent representatives, everyone works in a pyramid! Even if it is a one man show, your still feeding Uncle Sam who didn't work for you at all. But sits on top of the biggest pyramid scheme of them all collecting money from everyone. So are you ready to quit your day job yet? The point is regardless if it's an MLM, Networking or even down to a shoe store, everything is part of a pyramid. Key thing that if you don't want to do an MLM scheme and not recruit, then find a home based business where it's not mandatory to recruit and their is a compensation plan that is design for non recruitment. Understand to acheive the amount of money that you desire, will take a little bit longer to obtain then getting a few people to help you acquire customers. But the company should give you a choice. If you choose to recruit people, then the income you make from their customers should not be taken away from that persons income at all. It should be equal value. If you decide to open up your own business, and are against MLM schemes, then don't be a hypocrit and hire someone to work for you, because guess what, you just started your own MLM scheme.

4. Has the company your looking into been rated by Inc 500?? Inc 500 rates the top 500 companies with the fastest growing revenue in it's first five years. If it made the list, then the business has money to be made and is a pretty strong business to be involved in.

5. And something that all business people know! Don't go to blogs or reports such as ripoffreports or watchdog or any other blog spot. because they don't distinguish if a business is legit, real or not. Like I said before the BBB either (other than seeing if it's registered with the bbb). Blogs are places that negative people go to only to vent their flustrations on something that did not work for them. Usually these people are the ones who did not do what was needed to succeed in a business because they didn't put the time or effort needed to succeed, or do what other's who "have" succeeded in that particular industry had advised them to do. They didn't follow the advice or properly take advantage of any training in the industry that was offered. Anyhow, the majority of the negative things that are usually 80 percent false accusations. They can't fess up to the fact of the real reason why they failed in business. Instead of standing up and admitting to what they really did or did not do, they try and pass the buck onto someone or something else to try and justify their failure. Basically to make themselves feel better and to distract the attention of the "real" reason why they didn't succeed. That's what blogs are basically about. So when searching for a business for yourself, look for yourself, not anyone else's. Talk to the people who are involved in the company "now" not then. The ones involved then and not now are failures that are only going to give you negative feed back and not tell you the truth as to why they didn't succeed and label it a scam or even to the extent in some occasions calling it a fraud. Which isn't right. You need to be a leader not a follower. If your a follower of negative impact, then that's how life will always be for you, negative! That's not what you want. I don't think. I think looking into home based businesses, or even reading what I'm writing shows that you want to make something of your life, but need some directions on where to go and what to do. Am I right?

You need to understand that Businesses take time to build. The average time to build a successful business is anywhere from 2 to 5 years. That doesn't mean that you won't make a sufficient amount of income before this time. Depending on how much work and effort you put into it, will determine how much income you make and how quickly it increases. If time is a factor, you know most people start home based businesses on the side of their current carreer or even schooling. Once they reach the income level they desire, they put their jobs down. As the old saying goes, don't quit your day job for this. LOL Businesses take time to build. Don't slice off the hand that feeds you. Keep your day job and build a simple home based business on the side until it reaches the income level you desire. Who knows maybe you want both incomes still to keep coming. At least you'd have the security to be able to survive in the event that you lost your day job, which does happen! Sad to say! Especially with the way the economy is going these days!

Starting a Home Based Business costs money to start. They are "not" jobs, they are business that you own, just like if you were to open up a McDonald's franchise, that Verizon store, or a showe store or whatever kind of store.. You would own that particular store, but you wouldn't own the entire franchise. Opening up a McDonald's is very expensive to open and maintain and has a lot of headaches. Another example is collaborating with say Verizon. The store front businesses that are Verizon wireless dealers are actually Independent Representatives of Verizon cellular phones for instance. They own that business, but they do not own Verizon. They collaborated with Verizon to sale their products and services without starting their own wireless company. Simply done through collaborations. Opening up your own home based business, you have the same income opportunity as these traditional store front businesses, you also have the same tax advantages that they have, but it DOES NOT cost even a fraction of what opening up a MCD's or a furnature store or a shoe store. But yet, you can make the same amount of money, less overhead and just about everything you use daily in your home becomes tax write off's. Oh don't let the word collaborations scare you! LOL that's just simply done by a simple Independent Representative form and a small fee. Most home based business's cost less than $500. Some cost way more. The fee should take care of the primary company handling all your accounts payables, receivables, employees such as your customer service department, Order entry, reps services, workman's comp for these employees, licensing, Inventory (you shouldn't have items laying all over your house-unless it's a demo), billing (you should't be billing your customers), payroll etc. Things that cost traditional businesses thousands and thousands a month to pay for. This should be taken care of with your start up fee and continue on with an annual fee which should be far less then the start up fee. If your interested in a better way of life financially, take a look at the postings from other home based business owners. Take a look at the industry that they collaborated with. Contact them for more information on that industry.

Like I said earlier, if you want a change and make something of your life then you need to step out of your box and do something that is going to bring you what you want, and stop sitting there and dream of what you want and complaining about it. The choice is yours! Do you want to "make something" out of your life, or do you want to continue on in a rut and trying to scramble around to just barely make ends meet? If that's what you want, then look at home jobs.
