August 7, 2008. Thursday
It’s Thursday, cool.
I’ve been staying occupied and volunteering a lot. The sun is out, which is good, I’ll miss this weather.
Not much else is going on, I’m just enjoying the weather and playing on my computer. I fed the homeless twice last month, and last Saturday. Mosaic Church has Urban Camp the next 2 weeks, August 3-17, everyday there’s an event going on that’re full of fun/bringing friends to participate with. I volunteered last Sunday night at their coffee house, greeting/giving directions to it. The last day on the 17 is an all-church gathering, followed with a picnic/games afterwards, I’m helping out there too.
I better go, time to play more/do some work. Later gator.

Song
Chorus of ‘Our God Reigns’-
Our God reigns
Our God reigns
Forever His kingdom reigns
Prayer
LORD, you’re so good to us. Through our trying times, and good times, you always stay right by our side. You heal the sick/wounded, the hospitalized, the burdened, and so much more. I pray that your light and presence fills your earth, that wherever we are in life, we follow/seek you and walk in your footsteps to reach out to others/spread your word.
I pray for Open Door Ministry, that the kids there may see you/your presence. Show them that you’re their father in heaven, and that their troubled lives/past can be lifted up to you, and that their lives are renewed. I also pray that the ministry reaches out more/more, that those in need will walk in those doors and they learn to love/much more that they may not get at other places. Also that your kingdom reaches their lives and restores them to a better life in your presence.
I pray for IJM-International Justice Mission, that they reach out to more people in need. The children/girls in slavery need freedom, and I pray that no matter how long they’ve been in their tough situations they see you and see that their lives are cherished by you. Set the captives free, and bring them home to where they belong, and reunite them with their loved ones, and bring others into their lives and bring them peace.
I pray for everyone in general, that no matter what we don’t give up/that we fight until the end. We live in darkness, but you bring us light/life. I pray this/more in your great name, AMEN.
July 14, 2008. Monday
Chorus to ‘Here I am to worship’=
So here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that
You’re my God
You’re altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me
LORD, everyday you show us more of you and what we need to do as your children/servants, you show us life. You know our hearts, and our struggles. The song above is from my Sunday morning church’s worship, the youth lead worship yesterday. All the songs were great/touched us, but I felt your presence the strongest on the last song, everyone in church did. Whether we’re younger or older, we can still serve you/lead others in your presence and footsteps. No matter where we are today, we ask for you come into our lives, and show us how to follow/stay on your path. I pray for all those in need, injured/ill, single/married/more, burdened, and many more in need of you/your touch. Through us as believers, I pray that your guidance and love fills us wherever we go, and that our falls get picked back up. Through our lives, show us where to go, and how to spread your world to others. I pray this/more in your great name, AMEN.
July 8, 2008. Tuesday
It’s Tuesday, yay.
I’m having fun, watching TV and relaxing. It was a little hot to me today, but not much, I can tell I’m worn out when I haven’t done much today.
Tomorrow I go to bible study early in the morning, then to the bakery and VR in the afternoon, and to Mosaic Church for worship practice afterwards. I get my tires changed on my chair, finally, on Thursday. It’s been a month basically. Now I’ll be able to drive without worn-out wheels.
Sunday was great. I ran the slides for Springwater Church, it turned out good. The music I mostly know, maybe minor errors in not knowing all the lyrics, but I follow along really good. I went to the bakery after church, after eating something at the churches potluck meal and getting on my bus quickly, then eventually went to Mosaic Church. I greet there, it’s fun/I enjoy serving there.
Yesterday I hung out at the bakery, then went to Mosaic Church to volunteer in the office for a few hours, then I went home.
Today I was at the bakery as usual, played on my computer for a long time, then I visited my brother/went home.
I better go before I fall asleep, later.July 8, 2008. Tuesday
Being a Counselor
I’ve been thinking about my career goal more, and it gets brighter as I go through school. I’m no expert in counseling, but I have experience from helping others out some.
I want to be a counselor for those with disabilities/challenges, but I’m leaving it open to where I’m needed more. I need to go through more school to complete my goal and move on to the next step.
I know this much about what’s needed to be a counselor. Taking psychology classes, math to a high level that I hope I can survive/pass, complete the writing classes, and other steps to finish the process. I’m starting the process at half time per school term, but it’s progress. I need to take writing 115 and math, hopefully I can avoid statistics or anything beyond what I can pass, math in some areas is my weakness-I didn’t do well with word problems/state assessments in high school and in my math 20 in winter 2008. I took psychology 201a last term to start my psychology classes.
I’m not sure if foreign languages are required, but I decided to take Spanish starting fall 2008. I can read Spanish but not translate it, and I know enough to have a 30 second conversation, with the basics learned from elementary school.
Whatever it takes, I’ll go for my career goal. Hopefully I can comprehend/remember what I learn and gain from it more than I think can be gained. As I continue with my goal, I look forward to it. With experience in helping others out, I know I can qualify to be a counselor, I just need to set my mind to it/not give up no matter how hard it gets. I learn more about myself in this process too. Even with a disability, I can achieve goals like these, through time and patience. Those with disabilities are good witnesses to challenges/needs, and they can be qualified to succeed in being a counselor if they stay positive and keep moving forward.
