For all the times we think it's great to have people give us things, show us affection, listen to us... I think the best is giving to them...doing something, giving something tangible, listening deeply, speaking encouragement.

As Sam said to Frodo, "I can't carry this thing for you. But I can carry you."

What a blessing and a joy to participate in God's carrying someone as the person carries a burden! What a privilege!
