Peace to everyone on this New Year. This happens to be a very special New Years for me, for the simple fact that I released my first mix tape via online. The work entitled "Slave to the Page" is available for download for free.

Undoubtedly, we don't want to be slaves but we all are slaves to our essence. "Slave to the Page" this title comes about for many reasons. However, to explain this title you have to understand what a slave is. A slave is a person entirely under the domination of some influence. In the light of the meaning, it is easy to see that the influence is Hip hop and the person is The AbSouljah.

Obviously, I write the reality that I know, zone in my imagination, my aspirations, my pain, my plans, my anger, my love, my disdain, etc, now once I put it on that page I have to adhere to it. In other words, I am a full representation of my music. Besides that, I can get deeper. To enslave a person is probably the worst confinement and to liberate is the converse. So it may be safe to say I'm enslaved writing for freedom. Furthermore, even if I had the thought to quit rapping I couldn't stop myself from writing; the writing process has me in a bind but to rome freely might cause chaos. It's all about balance so from here lets continue with…Slave To Page…In Unison…

I would like to give praise to the most high and thank all of my comrades that contributed, gave support, and to all those being introduced to my work...I hope everyone can take a piece of this and hold it close to their heart...OUT

Since 2005 I have been working on an album entitled "The Forecast...Prophecy."  It is a very mild mannered album still exhibits deep emotion.  Some may say it sounds like the golden era all over again and others may not view it as that but maybe more on the side of futuristic.  Though, no matter what you call it the fact remains that you can't question the fidelity of the work.  But, the question is why The Forecast...Prophecy as the title?

Well it goes like this...Forecast means to calculate or predict (some future event or condition) usually as a result of study and analysis of available pertinent data.  So its like I'm giving my thoughts on to the future and where we are heading in other words prophesying.  Still the forecast is realistic its not some ghetto kid imagining about cars flying in the sky while we eat a capsule instead of a full-coursed meal.  This is a brief look into the life of a man that was raised in a environment around sex, murder and violence but only plans for the best.  At the sametime explaining how the government may not always be on our side, that most friends are really enemies, and various things that go on in the mind of most people.

With that said some may think is it worth paying attention to.  Well this is not an album of glorifying negativity but an album about life and the album that follows should show the transition.  Although, negativity may have been an inspiration for the album it is not the theme.  Its all about real life situations that we experience along with the thoughts that make the record really unique.

Hip hop is a beautiful art and I'm glad we're able to take part in it...Lets just keep it true...OUT
