Denver Broncos wench my sweetie
Well I know it has been a while since I put a blog in so I thought that today was a good day to do just that. A lot has conspired in the last few months that have made the wife & I kind of busy. First off we had to get a new car and we had been looking for something good on gas, as we all know that the price of gas is horrendous. We got a 2007 KIA Spectra it gets 34-38 miles to the gallon, pretty damn good for a 4 cylinder. I joined a group of bike riders that are called the Patriot Guard Riders over 150,000 of men & women from all over the USA they come together to honor our fallen military at funerals services. They protect the families from unwanted distractions. In other words they shield the families from protesters. I have been in one parade and done one ride. This just is so awesome to see how many just plain old bikers come out to help protect and serve those that have died protecting us. It is an awesome feeling.
The weather has not cooperated too much for us to do a lot of bike rides but we are getting out when we can. My wife’s nephew and his wife invited us to go to Disney World with them at the end of November for 7 days so we took them up on there offer and we are going got tickets and everything park passes… Can’t wait this will be lots of fun. We might be getting older but you will never take the kid out of us!![]()
Well the day our vacation started which happens to be my birthday
It started by us getting up at 3:30am to get ready for the airport.
Neither of us slept well so needless to say we were both extremely tired. Our friend Darlene came to pick us up at 4:30 am to take us to the airport.
Our first flight from Milwaukee to Denver was great loved the scenery. Our second flight was in a slightly smaller plane from Denver to Grand Junction where Johns sister Paula was waiting to pick us up. “ I hate smaller planes”. Way to bumpy and hell I should have worn a tighter bra I almost got a couple black eyes.
We spent the first 4 days with John’s mom she has been pretty lonely since Johns dad passed away. It was good for us to spend the time with her. The atmosphere in the mountains is pretty thin, I had a real hard time with keeping myself awake, and all I wanted to do was sleep. When Wednesday came along we rented a car and John took me to see the sights of Montrose. Our first trip was for him to show me the Black Canyon, OMG! It was so awesome, there was a rockslide going to see the dam and we couldn’t drive any further so we got out and walked a bit. That is when I asked for one of the rangers if they would take a picture of us and he did. Very cool. The rock that fell off was huge and the road was a mess. John thought I was crazy because I kept saying ooh-ahh just like a little kid in a candy store. I have never seen anything so beautiful. After we left the Black Canyon John took me to see Telluride, it was not really a big deal but I can say I was there, it was kind of cool the homes were so close together and on steep hills. John told me it was an old hippie town and he was right some people just don’t like change. The shops were cool looking on the outside but WOW expensive. After we got home we had dinner at John’s sisters house and then a night of good sleep. I have never slept better. On Thursday we left to go see the Blue Mesa Lake WOW I know now why the call it blue, it really is blue water it seem to go for miles and the bridges it was too awesome. John decided to take the long way back home so we hit a lot of winding roads and zigzag roads that John took just a bit faster than I would have, but then he has done this all already since he was born there. I made John pull over to the side of the road where I saw a couple horses and got a couple pictures, I made some noises to see if I could get one of then over by me and I did I fed him some grass and pet him. I love to horseback ride but not with out a corset on. “LOL” The small plane ride were bad enough. As you can tell by now it does not take a lot to get me excited. On Friday we did some shopping and souvenir looking to bring home. We went out for Mexican dinner and then watched a movie over to John’s sisters house then back to Moms they live next to each other so Paula can help mom. We are planning to go back next year if all goes well here. I have never seen so many beautiful things of nature. This really was the BOMB.

Well my sweetie and I are leaving for Denver on Saturday the 24th, which happens to be her birthday. We are going to visit my mom and the rest of my family and I wish to see if I can find a couple of my old buddies.
This is our vacation it it were not for Wench's sister coming up from Indy we would not be able to go. Wench's mom needs to have 24 hour care for right now and I will say it is really bad when you have family only 5 minutes away that should help but wont, but yet her other sister who lives 4 hours away is going to drop everything they have going on in her own personal life to come up here and give my sweetie and I a well deserved break. This I hope will keep her from worring too much and focus on us having a great time. I will post pictures when we come back. see ya soon.
